Arianna immediately tried to open the bag which seemed to have a lock. Hurriedly, she left his room to pick a carver which she intended to rip up the bag with.

Surprisingly, she found Alice on the staircase on her way back to his room.

She immediately hid the carver by putting it by her right side.

“Did I frighten you”? Alice asked jokingly noticing the tension all over her.

Alice remained suspicious due to Arianna’s countenance and how impatient she was getting.

“I was just on my way to Lucas's room to check on him,” Arianna said cringing.

On hearing she was on her way to Lucas's room, Alice instantly felt like strangling her right on the spot.
