Vincenzo sat at his office desk, the remnants of their breakfast still lingering in his thoughts. He knew he had to focus on the pressing issues at hand. The breakfast, however comforting, was a brief respite from the harsh reality they faced. He opened his laptop and reviewed the reports Baltazar had sent him. Moments later, a knock on the door signaled Baltazar’s arrival.
