Elise

Just like every other day I busied myself in the office working on a new project I was discussing with the my client Nora. Nora is a beautiful woman and we clicked in almost immediately in our first meeting. I thought she would be like my previous client Skylar but then she's far more better than her. She's okay with me choosing the designs for her and everything. She's getting married in two months but then she wants everything to be moving in place. Everything to be moving slowly one at a time. That's why she decided to start working on her wedding dress and I'm so happy for her.

"What do you think if we leave the back open. Like it will be a V-shaped from the down waistline. But then it would be covered with a transparent lace what do you think" I suggested.

"It actually make sense. Though I don't really want my body to be revealing but then having that kind of transparent lace will work out. I think I'll go with that"

"All right then that has been taken care of. What's next? The front line how do you want the front line to be. Should it be a high neck or low neck. Which do you want? Should it be adorned with stones or other sparkling designs or entirely plain?" We were literally having a serious discussion. Because I make sure my client will be atisfied with every idea I bring on plate.

"You literally made me speechless Miss Elise" She said. My brows crease in question

"About what?"

"Everything. The way you explain the details. The designs and everything. It's just perfect.I don't even know what to choose from. I think I'm going to leave everything in your hands. because I know you will not disappoint"

That has to be the best compliment I received today. A smile resonate out of me. "Thank you Miss Nora for the compliments and yes I will not disappoint. Trust me on this"

"Alright. I'll leave it in your hands then"

"I will sketch out the dress and send them over to your email"

"Thank you Miss Elise. I'll be on my way then. I have an appointment to catch" she said rising up to a standing position

"Thank you too Miss Nora. Have a nice day" And that was the end of the meeting

I still have a meeting with the next client but that has to be shifted because I was already exhausted. My eyes traveled towards the clock that was plasteted on the wall. It reads 3:45 PM. Just some few hours to go and my car will be with me. I can't begin to explain how weary it was to use a commercial car. Like I'm so used to my car that I haven't thought of using any taxi or a bus. It's not like the car is my first.

I had a car before that lasted for more than three years with me before I decided to buy a new one. And no, it's not with my parents money. From my own money. And that made me proud of myself. Being an independent woman ain't easy.

I have a Spa appointment at 7 PM And we decided to go with my friend Zara. Like she knew I was thinking about her, her call came through. "Speaking of the devil" I said immediately I picked up the call.  "A devil's friend is also a devil" she answered and we both burst into a fit of laughter.

"Hope you've not forgotten about our appointment?" She said

"I was actually thinking about calling you. Where are you now?" I flipped close the catalog in front of me grabbing my bag from the couch and began making my way out.

"I'm leaving office now"

"Same. Let's meet at the Spa" Zara owns a law firm. She has always wanted to open up her firm and I'm happy for her.

As agreed we met at the entrance of the Spa and entered together. It took us two hours to finish everything. The manicure and pedicure. And I must say I felt much better. My skins felt light.

We stopped by a restaurant to get something to feed our stomachs. "So he's painting your car" Zara said. I told her about the accident thingy and the agreement with Elijah guy.

"Yes. I can't use a half done car. And had he not hit my car, nothing would have happened" Zara took a sip from her drink before speaking up.

"You know painting a car isn't cheap. And not to talk of the damages he'd fix. You should cut the poor guy some slack"

"He started it first. Called me a crazy woman" I exclaimed with a roll of an eye.

"Maybe that's what you are" I stared at her wide eyes. She didn't actually call me a crazy woman.

"You don't mean what you said"

"Ofcourse I mean it. What if he hold a grudge against you" A chuckle escaped me. Zara and her being paranoid.

"Why would he hold grudge against me. I'm the one supposed to that. I'm the victim" I didn't realize I was raising my voice until Zara gesture with her eyes. I formed my lips into a thin line as I accessed the surrounding. The few people that were inside passing me a glance.

"I'm the victim here Zara" I said in a low voice.

"I'm just saying. You don't know what the future might hold" Zara and I are completely different when it comes to opinion. My opinion and hers doesn't always match. To kill off the never ending conversation, I turned my focus back to my food.

When we're done eating, we went on our separate ways. It was past 7pm when the taxi dropped me in front of our gate. I paid him and sauntered my way inside. My legs came to a complete halt. Mouth hung open as my eyes landed on an unfamiliar car. It was painted in rainbow colour.

Mom hasn't spoken about buying a new car and even if she will, she won't possibly buy a car like that. And Dad, he's not into those type of car. Aria is still young to drive a car. But then again, the car look so much alike with mine. Only the color differs. I didn't finish closing off my thought when my phone vibrates with text.

I hope you like your new car Miss Elise.
