Kathleen winced in pain as she caressed her left black eye which was in need of an ice pack, unfortunately the cops wouldn't let her leave and forced her to write a statement despite her refusal without the presence of her lawyer. Apparently that wasn't enough as she could feel the tears streaming down her cheeks—here it was, the justice system failing her again, she was the one who was assaulted and beaten, now because of her self defense she was being held in a cell instead of a hospital for her broken ribs.
