53 — A bitterness to my throat

I take a deep breath as Amber says again in a loud tone, "What? Did the words die on your tongue?"

I shift my gaze to her slowly, my breathing getting heavier and heavier.

"I hear you're sharing a room with Jasper... aren't you embarrassed at all?" She clicks her tongue, crossing her arms. "I expected you to at least have some decency, but sharing a room with-"
