A ride in Austin's car

Austin’s POV

I am about to leave the office when I see Rebecca stranded. It seems she doesn’t know there is a strike for taxis. “Hasn’t she heard the news?” I ask myself.

I decided to wait a little while because I knew if I went now she would think I wanted something from her, but all in all, I had to help her. I can't leave her all alone.

I only pretended, and I went and packed my car somewhere she could not see me. There was no way I was going to leave her alone. I had to help her.

“You still don’t need my help?” I asked her from behind. I have watched her for over thirty minutes now. And she still did not give up. I liked her spirit.

She looked at me, and she still wanted to refuse and that was where I decided to tell her about the strike, and it seemed like she did not know a thing. She looked surprised.

After a while of thinking. She accepted, but she offered to pay for the ride. I gladly accepted that. It was what I wanted anyway, a yes from her. I led the way to where I had pack
