I make a swift turn and mirror my mate’s expression when I see what just soiled our precious moment together. Occupying a table three tables away from us, Drex sits…with Clarence? What the heck are they doing together? I grind my teeth lowly, turning back to the people I came here with. The waitress is coming so let’s focus on our dinner”. That does brighten the mood and my mate has the waitress setting her meal first as she tells her about the other consuming being growing inside of her.

Her sullen composure makes me regret bringing the matter up when she begins to talk. “I suppose he’s fine now,” She says sullenly. “I’m sorry things had to go this way…I was so sad that night when I accidentally met Bryan, but…”Her emotions choke her and she struggles to go on.
