The Threat

When they got back in the mansion Rachel was the first to confront them.

"That wasn't very smart, Trish. What were you thinking? It's hard enough for me to accept all this."

Trisha kept her chin up as she talked to her friend. "I wanted to pull a snake out of hiding." She pulled out her phone and handed it over to Rachel.

Rachel scanned through it and smirked. "Wait, does she think that using a blocked number is going to keep her safe?" she grabbed her own phone and taking Trisha's she retreated to the couch.

"Are you okay?" Logan was by Trisha's side in an instant.

"I was with her, don't you think she's fine?" Lauren rolled her eyes at him.

Logan ignored her. "Those vultures probably enjoyed that display. I'm sure we'll have the mansion surrounded again."

Jace sighed. "Why did I have to get dragged along?"
