Ethan’s Pov

“Kayla…”, I muttered under my breath as I rushed over to her.

She seemed to have passed out after gulping down the entire juice jar.

“Is she okay?” Jake asked as he came over to take a careful look at her.

Mason was not left out. He wore a panicked look as he rushed over to her, tapping her slightly and calling out her name.

Jason sat still on the seat, stealing glances at us but looking sort of unperturbed. He was focused on his meal, barely caring about whatever might have happened to Kayla.

“Kayla…can you hear me? Please say something”, I said as I tapped her softly.

My heart was beating out of my chest at this point and the only thing that came to my mind was the drink.

“Was it poisoned?” I asked Jake who exchanged glances with Mason.

“I suspected something though. The speed she used in drinking this juice was quite strange”, Jake said and held Kayla who was barely conscious.
