"Why?" I found myself shakily asking.
"Well, have you downloaded a dating app recently?" He asked, making me quirk my eyebrow in confusion."Yes," I replied nonetheless. "Kind of.""That app, my Lady is a magical app designed many years ago by the witches and wizards of the world. Its meant to help umated supernatural beings find their mates or beloveds or life partners if you will, from wherever they were. Eventually, the application extended into a new dimension, yours to be specific. We found that some people could not find their other halves even while using the application so our wizards and witches 'upgraded' the application recently as to help those beings. To our greatest joy and luck, the application became a success. Many people started discovering their other halves. Unfortunately it came with a price," He softly sighed," Seeing as your people are from a different dimension than ours, the application teleports your kind into our world without your supernatural counterpart having the application.""I have the same experience with my mate." He explained.Surprisingly, I remained calm throughout his explanation. My mind slowly digesting the information, until my head started lightly throbbing."When can I go home?" I found myself typically asking.Noah nervously cleared his throat before cautiously responding," I'm afraid I do not think that is possible, Miss."Those words were all it took to make my world turn black as I lost consciousness.•°•°•°•°Noah's POVA quiet sigh left my lips as I carefully laid the young lady's unconscious, small body onto the bed.My mate was more welcoming of our situation, but then, I was the one who explained to her, her mate. My Luna here has a different situation as a whole. Her mate does not even wish to breath the same air as her, or so he thinks.Taking the silky blanket, I gently threw it over her body before quietly leaving the room."Is she unconscious?" Came a familiar, deep and authority filled voice from behind me."Yes," I quietly sighed, running a hand through my once neatly styled, jet black curls." You should give her a chance or I fear that you might find yourself regretting your current choice."With that, I took off to my office to finish my pending work."I think not, Noah. I am aware that you are my advisor but that is only when it comes to the throne. Not my personal endeavours." Theo's rage filled, stubborn voice echoed from next to me making me want to sigh in exhaustion."Yes, I am aware, but I am also your friend, am I not? And as such it is mandatory for me to tell you if you are making regrettable, senseless choices." I calmly responded before entering my office and closing the door behind me, leaving him seething outside of the door in rage. The barely contained growl from the other side of the door showing his wolf's barely contained rage from the slight disrespect.(Was that necessary?) Came my wolf's irritated, disapproving, gruff voice from our shared bond. Him being the loyal beta he was did not enjoy me, his human disrespecting his alpha and king.'Unfortunately so.' I internally, tiredly sighed at Jax's response.(I suppose you don't quite have a choice.) He silently agreed.•°•°•°•° Elise's POVThe pounding, painful drum in my head had me slowly opening my heavy, cemented eyelids. I instantly shut my eyes at the painfully intruding bright light that forcefully invaded my tired eyes, making the unknown headache painfully spike up. I instantly jumped up at the recognition of the unfamiliar, but somehow familiar ceiling, making a quiet moan of pain leave my once sealed lips. The ceiling was higher than any ceiling I have ever seen before. There was also a golden chandelier hanging proudly above me.The feeling of a silky soft fabric on my bare legs had me looking down to find a rich, silky, light grey fleece draped from my thighs to my feet. The material seemed to pool at my thighs probably having slid down when I straightened off the bed.But the most important question and mystery still remains, where am I? because this certainly is not my room. My room is much more quaint and warm, whereas this one is large and cold in personality. The whiteness of the room was magnificent, but very unwelcoming.Surprisingly enough, I felt so calm which scared me. I should be panicking and trying to find a way out, but something in this room kept me calm. Maybe it was the manly, strong fragrance that surrounded me and made me want to greedily take in the addictive scent, but my mind seemed to fight the calmness as I wrecked it for something unknown to me. Something that I feel is important to remember, but I just cannot remember what. The headache was also not making things any easier for me as it made me close my eyes in pain and moan. The sound of the door slowly opening filled the painfully silent room, instantly making me peel my eyes open and stare at the intruder. There stood a tall, plump woman carrying a silver tray with a plate, bowl and glass filled with a golden liquid. She had the warmest and kindest features that I thought she was an angel. She had her platinum blond hair, tied up in a neat and tight bun at the top of her head. No tendril of hair out of place. She had on a plain white blouse and a pair of black dress pants with black pumps to finish her look. From where I was I could only guess that she was either in her late twenties or early thirties. She was the epitome of beauty. Her curves were all in the right places. None seemed to be overwhelming her frame. She slowly made her way to me, probably being careful as to not drop the tray in her hands or to spill the golden liquid in the glass as she walked with grace towards me. The smile on her lips unshaken and her graceful steps effortless as if she were trained in the arts of grace. She walked in a way I would perceive a princess to walk, gracefully, slowly and calmly. Confidence radiated with a sense of authority from her walk and straight as a board posture."Good day, Miss. My name is, Megan and I am your personal maid, prior to King Theodore's request." She said in a soft, but well controlled tone that almost had me shivering at the partially cold formality of it as she stood in front of the bed with the tray still in her hold, not allowing me to see the contents in the white, fragile like bowl and plate. The name Theodore rang a certain bell in my mind for some reason, but I could not put a face to it or a story, but the way it slid out of her mouth had shivers running down my spine and not the good kind. It made me feel longing towards the person and jealousy towards her for saying it. Something confusing to my still very baffled mind."Where am I?" I found myself dumbly asking, even though I felt like I have already asked this question before. Her honey glazed orbs that shone with confidence were intruded by a speck of doubt at my question before she hesitantly, but confusedly replied," You're in the kingdom of Astral, Your Highness."That single sentence instantly triggered all my memories from earlier, instantly turning me to mush and making my once well controlled breathing uncontrollably laboured. Words that Noah had told me earlier slid back into my mind one by one, making my breathing more ragged and painful to intake as I put my hand on my chest to try and sooth the uncomfortable and painful, burning sensation in my lungs as my oxygen slowly got restricted. "Your Highness?" She worriedly called as she rushed to my side and placed the tray on the bedside table next to the bed.My mind kept on replaying the words Noah, the man from earlier had told me. The mysterious calming scent from earlier now long forgotten as my throat got clogged with tears and my heart painfully constricted in my chest as tears blurred my vision. My headache only intensifying as my tears slid down my once dry cheeks, instantly dampening them in their wake. Why is this not just a dream? I want to go home. Mom. Dad."I want to go home." I weakly pushed over the tears and my clogged throat and vocal cords, my voice and tone now resembling that of a child." Take me home." I sniffled."I cannot, your Majesty. The king would have my head and I would be charged for treason, besides you're his mate. King Theodore needs you here by his side. You're our queen and luna, so I deeply apologise, but I cannot." She apologised, a hint of hurt lacing her voice as she painfully said those words. Unknowningly twisting the painfully lodged dagger in my heart, increasing the already unbearable pain in my chest, making me clutch at it to try and sooth the pain as the tears increasingly flowed down my cheeks, leaving wet trails were they trailed. The pain a mixture of fear and longing to go back home and something else. Something that I think resembled heart break, but for what? Why am I feeling this way? Why is the thought of me leaving this place so painful to bare compared to me being in an unknown place probably far away from home. What's happening to me? What is wrong with me?Elise's POVIts been three days since I've been here and basically nothing has changed except for my old eating habits and speech. I talk much less than I usually do, but can you blame. I don't know anybody here but Megan and Noah. I see Megan everyday, but I haven't seen Noah since when he first talked to me on my first day here and neither have I seen those two kids from my afternoon here. Apparently they are King Theodore's children, my imprisoner whom I am still yet to meet. Every time I ask to be released, Megan just ignores me now. Before, she kept on telling me that 'Theodore' would have her head and that I'm his mate so I should not be asking to leave and such, but now she bluntly ignores my pleas. And guess what, every time I talk about leaving this place, my chest hurts so I have stopped because its not like anyone is willing to help me here anyway. Don't get me wrong, I still want to go back home, but something about this place makes the mere thought of leaving excruciatin
Elise's POVQuiet giggling and soft, warm hands cupping my face had me quietly groaning as I opened my heavy lidded eyes. My eyes instantly locked with a familiar chocolate brown pair opened by a familiar young boy."Hi!" The young boy excitedly greeted taking my hand into his two," We're so happy you're alright!"Two other small pairs of hands took hold of my other hand making me turn to the culprit. It was the same shy young girl from last time. She looked the exact same way as the boy, probably her twin brother."Hello." She shyly greeted.I opened my mouth to greet them, just for me to roughly break into a fit of coughs making me remove my hands from the two small ones and cover my mouth and close my eyes as they painfully wrecked my chest. After a few more seconds, I finally calmed down just to see a glass of cool water with a drop sliding at the side as the glass misted from its coldness nestled in between two small hands. I swear I almost drooled just at its sight as I noticed
Elise's POVA gasp left my partially parted lips in both pleasure and shock as I was pulled into a warm embrace that made my knees weak and my heart turn into mush. The familiar mysterious, calming, manly scent from the room engulfed me into its grasp almost making me forget how to breath. The sparks that engulfed my being had me gulping at the air at the intensity and warmth. They filled me with such a sense of safety that I didn't ever want to leave this position we were in.Theodore kept on taking whiffs of my scent from my neck nearly making me giggle a couple of times at the ticklish sensation. It made me lightly squirm in his firm grip a few times even as I tried to ignore the ticklish sensation. A squeal almost left my lips as my knees buckled, causing me to lose my balance for a second, but his firm grip kept me sturdy even as I looked to the side in embarrassment. A growl suddenly left his throat as he moved his face from where it was comfortably nestled in my neck. I immedi
I slowly made my way down the stairs to avoid tripping on my stiletto heels. I have never worn stilettos until now a and I an only wearing them because Megan was adamant on me putting them on regardless of my complaints. They were a plain black pair with a gold, heart shaped pendant hanging at the sides of each shoe to make it seem more playful. My short, curly hair was brushed until it was a straight, dark brown mane that brushed and teased the nape of my neck. The fringe was brushed back behind my ear though a few, shorter tendrils remained and teased the corner of my right eye."You look stunning, Luna." Megan all but squealed excitedly from next to me."You've been telling me that since I put on this dress," I giggled," But thank you, Megan. I still don't understand why you forced me to wear these death traps instead of one of the many black pumps in the closet.""Well, I wanted you to look your best, so those flats would not have done any justice with your attire." She shrugged,"
We finished dinner in absolute silence, but it was not tense, just comfortable. Now we're comfortably sitting in the living room in silence. "I believe I owe you an explanation," Theodore lightly sighed," But first, could you tell me why you are so welcoming of this peculiar situation you have found yourself in? I expected to have you asking me to leave or perhaps you would be asking me to leave while you're furiously threatening me."I lightly chuckled while I ran my finger around the top of my glass."Well, aside from me being a hopeless romantic, I have always enjoyed reading and watching supernatural romance. I always read books where a human and werewolf or some other supernatural being fall in love or found out that they were soulmates. I always found it cute and romantic and many times than once I found myself fantasying about basically being in their shoes. I mean, having someone that will love you forever and would never even once think to cheat on you, that's a dream come t
Theodore's POVI am elated that my mate has accepted me and has agreed to be patient with me. She is too damn good to be true. As much as I am elated to have her, a large part of me fears that she might leave any day if she wishes. She is not as grounded as I am."Umm Theo, may I please ask you a question?" She nervously asked from where she lay on my lap as I massaged her sculp."Of course, Little One." I encouragingly smiled down at her."Why do you call me 'Little One' ?" She frowned with a raise of her perfectly arched eyebrow."Well because you are, Mate." I smiled in amusement at her interesting question."How so? You seem to only be in your mid to late twenties." She squinted her eyes at me, making a half-hearted laugh leave my mouth.(She is indeed an adorable one) My wolf, Hunter amusingly chuckled.'That is indeed true.' I agreed with him."Well, I am 465 years old, Little One." I lightly smirked in amusement. She looked at me in disbelief, but her cute little mind seemed to
Elise's POVThe walk down the long hallways of the castle always felt long to me. It feels like an exercise whereas Megan always walks with grace and a smile on her face. She is literally the epitome of grace and beauty and she never fails to make me feel self conscious and intimidated by her beauty. I'm like a duck walking next to a graceful, beautiful swan. And she's not the only gorgeous person here, I've met many more model like, gorgeous women. This place brings out my insecurities. Everyone here is either gorgeous or handsome. I stick out like a sore thump. "Luna?" Megan's concerned voice knocked me out of my deep thoughts."Hmm." I absent-mindedly hummed in response."Are you alright? You seem unwell. You are radiating a hint of sadness. What is the matter?" She asked almost making me cringe.I forgot that people near me can sense my emotions here if they radiate strong enough. It's another type of bond here. The bond between the Luna and her pack and in my case, also a queen
Elise's POV"Okay guys, let's go." I told the kids as I took the prepared picnic basket from the granite countertop."Would you like our help, Elise?" Everett offered with a dimpled smile.I smiled at him leaned down to press a kiss onto his forehead before shaking my head at him," No thank you, Sweetheart.""Are you certain? We would love to assist you." Evangeline smiled up at me.As much as I tried, I couldn't swallow the giggle that left my lips as I shook my head at her," I'm sure, Sweetheart." I assured, leaning down to press a kiss onto her forehead too."Perhaps my assistance may put your minds at ease, Children." Noah's amusement filled voice resonated from behind us, making all three of us simultaneously turn to his unannounced, unexpected figure."Uncle Noah!" The twins simultaneously called, before they ran over to give him a hug before returning to my sides with twin grins lining their lips."May I?" Noah asked, gesturing to the basket in my hand."Are you sure?" I asked
