Chapter 20: The Luna
Hera
I unconsciously moved away from her and straightened my back. My senses were heightened as I looked at the person who murdered my mother. Although I didn’t want to show her any respect, she is still the former Luna of the Blood Shadow pack, so I bowed my head.
“Greetings, Luna,” I said in a strained voice.
I was startled when she held onto my shoulders and guided me to stand straight.
“No need for those formalities. I’m not the Luna of the pack anymore. Just think of me as a normal pack member in this house,” she smiled, her eyes brightening as she spoke. She is just as the books painted her to be. She is incredibly beautiful and dazzling, but I know better than to be deceived by her smile.
