It was a beautiful morning in the Blood Shadow pack—not a single sign of chaos ensuing. That is until a familiar scream was heard all around the house.
"WHAT?" Dalton shouted, turning off the television.
Ella worriedly looked around the house, afraid that Dalton's scream would wake up the other pack members.
"Shh, why do you have to shout? I'm just asking you to be the chaperone for Lyra's field trip."
"But why?" he whined. "I'm going fishing with Kairo and the boys."
Ella clicked her tongue. "You went fishing three days ago, Dalton! Maria invited me out to the town, and it's been a long time since we hung out. Don't you think I also deserve to go out of the house?"
"Would that be okay, though? Won't you get tired considering that you're pregnant?"
Ella sighed and crossed her arms together. "Are you assuming that pregnant women can't go out and have fun anymore?"
