CHAPTER 48

Felix stood with his head bowed to his father who was seated behind his desk in his study. The king looked at his din without a word coming from his mouth. He had not expected to see Felix returning to the palace so quickly.

“Good day your majesty,” Felix greeted the king curtly. He then stood straight with both his hands politely folded behind him.

“I am not expecting to see you before me right now. It's only six months,” the King noted gently.

“Yes, father.”

“Is the mission complete already?”

Felix shook his head, “No, father.”

“Then what?”

“Some things came up while I was away, and I'm afraid I might not be able to reveal any of that right now. But I've returned to him for a while and might be leaving again soon,” he explained, bowing.

“I see. And have you heard anything from William? He seems to be doing pretty well where he is. To be honest I expected him to have come running home by now. Anyway, it's good you're back. I hope you've been able to learn a lot staying outside the p
