Felix kept his nose in the book, wondering what would happen next to the peasant girl.

As Kara lingered around her home, she still wasn't forgiven. Kara's mother took pity on her and begged her father to take her back in but he refused. He said she was no longer needed in the house as she was of marriageable age, it was best for her to meet her lover, live with him and produce children.
