Emptiness in his eyes

“Welcome,” the man standing in front of the door greeting her as they walk inside, “Alpha Rayton, your family on the left side.”

“Okay, thank you. Please add one more seat for my guest.” Rayton said and awkwardly smile at him as if he was not, he is not used to socializing with his packmates.

“I understand, Alpha Rayton. They will arrange the seat for your guest in a second, please proceed." The man said and call someone using the thing in his ear, Lucy can see the heavy breath he take before he said thank you for the second time.

The alpha is so different when they are talking and he was talking to someone, it makes Lucy feels somehow relieved. She can’t handle the awkwardness if Rayton will talk to her like that, well at least the man was comfortable to shout and glare at her.

“Why being so humble? You are the son of the chief yet you are thanking them for what they should do, I thought you will bow your head also.” She
