ELSA

I still had my hands wrapped over my body in a protective and shameful way. I pulled my leg to my chest on the bed filled with red roses that he had carried me to after carefully removing the knives. I couldn’t think straight; I had no idea what to do next. The door to the room I was in opened, and my body instantly did a little shake. He had folded the sleeve of his black shirt, revealing a cursive tattoo on his left arm with an initial ‘H’.

I moved backward to the end of the bed, my arms still wrapped over my body, and my heart still beating against my chest with intensity. I felt pain all over my body, mostly from the sharp knives that pierced me.

“I drew you a bath. Can you walk, or do you want me to carry you?” He asked, his eyes staring directly at me, like he felt sorry for me. How could he feel sorry after he caused this?

“I want to be left alone. I can go to the bath tub myself.” I didn’t spare him a glance. He looked like he wanted to argue but turned backwar
