Chapter 33

POSEIDON POV

Resentment burned in my throat, leaving my mouth with an acidic taste that seemed to spread all over my being, leaving a bitter trail in its waking. The annoying continuous thumping of bass speakers and drunken squeals, lust-filled teen sex swirling in the air only amplified the burn by a hundred.

As soon as Sebastian and I climbed down the stairs, millions of people came flocking around us, blocking the air and pulling all the oxygen away. My chest rose and fell with frantic breathing, the road to the outside of the house seemingly impossibly harder than crossing the Red Sea.

Sebastian and I finally arrived outside, and before we could stand face to face, flashing lights and shutters of cameras were all I could hear.
