Chapter 59

PIERRE POV

The night seemed both an eternity and a millisecond. I lay awake the rest of the night, my mind replaying my life choices and endless possibilities that can pull me out of this calamity I gracefully landed myself into. For the millionth time, I found myself chanting inwardly of how much I was better off without Poseidon and all he came pulling on his trail.

Sebastian’s presence was a living thing besides me, and it was the soothing sensation that made the night less lonely and bearable. The sound of his calm breathing was like one of rain, his scent an elixir that seemed to provide me with ultimate peace.

Of all the things I loved, the fact that he sought me out even in his sleep was top-tier. I loved how he would unconsciously search the bed for me before pulling me into a small spoon against his front, burying his head into my neck, and exhaling out loud.

One thing for sure was that he did many things, but he never made me question my place and worth in his life, unlike
