Chapter 60

PIERRE POV

The middle of the day was upon us when we finally left our huts, armed up and ready for the big hunt. And by armed up, I mean with backpacks and water bottles. Hydration is important, everybody.

I stood outside our hut watching groups and groups of people disappearing into the trees covered in winter crisp, the vigor, and laughter evident with a boom in the air.

I could feel a vibrant sensation bubbling through me, a different kind of excitement that made it impossible to stand still.

I started bouncing on my leg as I impatiently waited for Sebastian to finish gearing up. As more and more seconds ticked by, and I lost my cool:

“Baaaaaabe…” I screamed looking over my shoulder before stomping softly.
