Joan’s POV

I didn’t want to believe he had spies around, but Isaac was a psychopath; he could do anything; he could get whatever information he wanted, even if it was my personal secret. My main fear was what he was going to do with it and why he decided to let me know about his knowledge about the affair.

“Joan” Anita came into the restroom, pulling my hands; my eyes were still clotted in tears. I pulled her in for a hug because I just couldn’t hold the thought to myself anymore; it was like there was no single happy moment with me; it was one problem after another, and at that moment I was tired.
