"James." I chuckle as I stare at him on his knees, and he smiles before motioning to the box. "What do you think? You like it?"

I nod as I stare back at the plastic ring in the box. "I thought you lost it. You told me you did."

"I did. But I found it later and it just completely skipped my mind to tell you. I was digging through my stuff when I remembered." He explains, and I nod.

"Do you still have yours?" I look back at him when he asks and I shake my head, a frown pulling at my lips. "I don’t. I lost it a while ago." And I remember feeling so down about it. We bought rings when we were young. It was a childish thing, and I don’t think we even knew what we were doing when we made vows that we had zero meanings to. I remember I got angry when James told me he lost his a few weeks later while playing with some girl from his neighborhood; it was the first big fight we had since the beginning of our friendship and I almost even stopped speaking to him altogether. I agree with you Paola, but it’ll be her loss and his father too. To me hos mother was never into his father and she was a selfish Beatch that didn’t wanted to see him happy with Elizabeth mother

I agree! Typical person who doesn't want someone but also not allowing them to have someone else. However, it could be that James's mum may have tried because of James, and it isn't still working out!
