He's part werewolf

He smiled, his mouth curving up at the side, amused. “How else do you think Jayden obtained his powers? He's half-werewolf, the perfect candidate for this. That was also how he got to be your mate.”

To state I was dumbstruck would be a grand understatement. I had always wondered how I got to be mates with a vampire. It all seemed to boil down to the fact that Jayden was a werewolf — a half-one.

'Doesn't make any to me.'

“Too shocked to speak a word?” Gordon chuckled. “You see, it doesn't matter what you think or how you react. My plans are already working.”

“Really?” I tilted my head to the side, scoffing at him. “Tell me, what is your brilliant plan? Why are you even doing this?”

I knew he didn't do this for revenge on his son. He wouldn't have gone to such a length. There had to be something he planned to do.

“Why should I tell you that?” He scowled, folding his arms with his eyes narrowed to slits.

“I'm dying. It won't trouble you to tell me, would it?”

I discreetly tugged on th
