AURORA’S POV

Moving in with Max was weird, everything felt new and scary and the distance away from the city was too much, we spent three hours before arriving at out destination.

There were tons of private bodyguards outside the building and more than enough CCTV.

“Welcome home my love” Max said as he pulled me into his arm and gave a warm kiss, I struggled my out of his arms.

“Where is my room, i’m tired, I need to read please” I replied and walked away from him, he smiled faintly and directed me toward the left side of the mansion.

I knew what I was getting myself into but I would rather believe he has change and won't hit me again.

Everything felt unfamiliar but just one thing gave me a reason to smile, the diamond ring on my finger, I knew it wasn't from Max but I kept it anyway, it made me feel at ease and gave me hope.

I took a warm shower and went to bed, I woke up when I heard a loud noise from the living room.
