Chapter 7: Escape from the hospital

After many attempts to resist, Regina became a lifeless corpse. Every day, the doctor came and sedated her. This caused Regina's mind to become hazy. At one point, she also found them testing another drug on her while she was in a coma. Regina's body became thinner and weaker than when she confronted Anthony. Suddenly, at this moment, Regina felt that being with Anthony wasn't really as tragic as she had thought.

Audrey regularly visited Regina. However, Audrey came mainly to want her to sign the paper giving all the shares in her hand to him. Audrey absolutely would not accept divorce from Regina. He wanted to preserve his fortune and take Regina's fortune into his own hands. At times like these, Regina wanted to rush in and hit Audrey. However, later on, her tears also disappeared and she chose to be silent and see them as air.

At this moment, a nurse entered to check Regina's stats. From the moment Regina accepted the truth and gave up. They also did not give her too many sedatives. Instead, she endured torture and drug reactions to experimental drugs. However, there was nothing Regina could do about it as she now knew that this was the Audrey family’s private hospital. She also no longer knew how long she had been here, perhaps 10 nights, 20 nights, or even more than 30 nights.

Suddenly, there was a loud noise outside that made everyone go to see what had happened. This also prevented the nurse in Regina's room from closing the door. The gap in the door of the hospital room was like a ray of light that gave Regina hope. She pulled out the last of her strength and pulled the IV lines from her body. Then, Regina crawled her whole body out of bed. The weak strength from the small arm caused her whole body to fall hard on the bed.

Regina's will to be free was so strong that it made her forget the pain in her body. Regina leaned against the wall and slowly walked outside. Fortunately, she had been here before, so finding the exit was not too difficult. However, this appearance will attract the attention of others. Regina was lucky enough to see the nurses' changing rooms. She looked around and quickly went inside.

A few minutes later, Regina came out in a nurse's uniform and covered her face. She crouched down and tried to walk down the hallway with a normal posture. At this time, many people ran in the opposite direction full in a hurry.

“In front of the hospital, someone came asking for a person and made the battle,” a nurse ran past and told the rest.

"What?" The others panicked and followed the nurse. It was the first time they saw someone come to the hospital to ask for a patient like that.

Regina didn't care about such things. She also silently thanked the person who came to make the riot. That person gave her a chance to escape. Regina quickly went to the back door of the hospital and took a taxi. She did not dare to look back inside the hospital. She turned her face away. Regina's car quickly passed another familiar car.

The person in the car was rubbing his hands. Suddenly he looked up and looked at the taxi that had just passed. However, he couldn't clearly see the person sitting in it, so he didn't care anymore. The phone rang, bringing back the man's thoughts.

"How's everything?" the man asked slowly.

"Master, they won't let us in," said the voice on the phone.

Anthony was silent, then rubbed his fingers together again. For the past month, he had been busy settling a dispute with the Norwood mafia family. After Lexi fled home, Lexi was always a nuisance to Anthony. A lot of delivery schedules and weapon designs were affected by this. Therefore, even though Anthony wanted to come and free Regina, he was prevented by his grandfather and his uncle. They didn't want Anthony to ruin the family's reputation because of the girl who had married. Currently, the news about the mysterious man who helped Regina with money for her company was rampant and hot in the newspapers. If Anthony appeared, it would be like becoming prey for reporters.

To quickly solve everything, Anthony brutally shot and killed Lexi in the abandoned house. He also received dangerous wounds. After that, Anthony had his subordinates glue Lexi's mouth and fingers together and put Lexi's body in a large box. The box was sent directly to the Norwoods’ house. This serves as a warning to the Norwoods if they dare to argue with the Dominic mafia family. Anthony’s brutality was once again verified, causing other mafia families to be more cautious during this time.

Anthony's grandfather and his uncle could only shake their heads and ignore him. Now, no one could control Anthony's footsteps, so he immediately led his subordinates to the hospital where Regina was being held. However, he did not show up at this time.

Anthony was still silent even though his subordinates were waiting for orders from him. The girl he loves is inside the hospital. However, Anthony did not understand why he felt more and more distant from her.

“Go inside. Find her out in anyway. Anyone who gets in the way, you guys can handle them,” Anthony said quietly. His eyes sparkled with fire.

Inside the hospital lobby, Anthony's subordinates received orders to act next. At first, one of Anthony's men came in and only asked the hospital to check on the sick.

"May I ask where Miss Regina Collins's room is?" The man was wearing a black coat and hat but it didn't cover his angular features.

The receptionist was smiling politely but suddenly froze when she heard the name uttered. The nearby receptionists simultaneously averted their monstrous glances at the man who had just appeared.

“Sorry, we are past visiting hours,” replied the receptionist, then smiled sympathetically.

“I see the time on the bulletin board is still five hours before the end of visit time,” the man was unfazed by the receptionist's smile. He replied coldly, causing the receptionist to panic slightly.

Patient Regina Feline had been warned by their superiors not to let anyone see her. Not many employees here know that Regina was being used as a test subject. They had all heard her sound of struggling, begging, and screaming in her hospital room. This was completely different from what Audrey said on television.

"Miss Regina Collins's condition is not good right now, so she can't be visited. Sorry and please go back and wait for our next announcement,” another veteran receptionist came over and said.

As the man had prepared in advance, he pulled out a piece of paper proving his connection to Regina. In addition, pictures of him and her together, including a note from Regina's father.

“I am Regina's younger brother. My father told me to see how she was doing. I just wanted to stand outside looking at her. Won't cause trouble for everyone," the man replied calmly.

“Sorry, it's not possible to visit patient Regina right now. If you don't go, I'll call security. Where's the guard?" The receptionist quickly shouted to get everyone's attention.

An unexpected conflict occurred when the hospital guards arrived and started using violence. They grabbed the man and forcefully dragged him outside. However, the man remained standing. Instead, he grabbed the guard's arm and flung the guard to the floor. This alarmed the receptionists there. The hospital staff immediately ran over to rely on the strong to bully the weak. However, they realized their mistake when another group of people also wearing black coats suddenly entered and stood in a horizontal line.

The man bounced off his phone and called someone else. Without knowing what they were saying, the people in black coats went straight into the hospital and ignored other people's dissuade. Other guards also quickly came and blocked the way. The two sides struggled, causing the leader's black jacket to be pulled off.

Everyone present was at the same time inhaling the cold air. They saw a sign tattooed on the man's arm. The sign was reserved for members of the powerful Dominic mafia family.

"They're from the Dominic mafia," murmured voices.

Those who were stopping Anthony's subordinates no longer dared to be strong. They all stepped back and bowed their heads. Seconds later, Anthony's subordinates also got Regina's room number. They quickly made their way to the room but only emptiness remained.

Anthony sitting in the car outside was surging with indescribable haste and insecurity. He had a feeling that this trip did not bring good results. At this moment, the phone in Anthony's hand rang.

“Have you found her yet?” Anthony asked in a rather urgent voice.

“Master, she is nowhere to be seen. We searched the ward and throughout the hospital couldn't find Miss Regina."

Hearing this, Anthony's eyes widened. The phone in his hand was now like a hot stone. Anthony leaned back in his chair. He'd rather not touch her but still see her than not see her and not know where she is.

“Withdraw. Make sure no one gets a video of you coming in,” Anthony calmed down and ordered.

Anthony looked out the window and pondered. If Regina wasn't in the hospital, that meant she had to find her own way out. Anthony frowned, or Audrey knew he was coming and took her somewhere else. He again made a phone call.

On the other hand, Audrey was playing with Stella in his and Regina's own house. While the two were hustling under the blanket, the phone suddenly rang continuously, making Audrey angry.

“What's wrong?… WHAT? I'll be right there," Audrey snapped and quickly dressed before Stella's surprised gaze. Audrey left before Stella could ask why.

Audrey drove to the hospital. The phone call just now told him that a group of people had come in from outside to rob Regina. If they were to see her current situation, everything Audrey and Stella had done so far would be exposed.

Audrey parked the car in the basement but before he could reach the elevator, he was stopped by a group of people and pulled into a dead corner.

"Who are you guys?"
