I decided to count to three. So I did so in my mind.
My heart raced wildly as I was aware than if I screwed up, I would die. At one, I reached out to my rusted blunt fork beneath my shirt. With care I got it out without him noticing. After successfully getting a strong hold on the fork, I waited patiently until he carried me to the edge of the stairs where there was a dark corner."Stop!" I said aloud, choking badly. "I'm choking, I got something stuck in my throat.""What are you? A kid." He sighed as he stopped reluctantly. I choked continuously with force which led to him staggering into the dark corner. And then, I quickly directed the fork at his throat. He was taken by surprise as I had anticipated. "Bitch..." He began."Sshhh." I said pressing the fork into h1161 word(s)PublishedFourteen "Get out..." Then Crash. I crashed. The car tumbled and skidded off the road. The radio had gone dead and everywhere was silent, the only noise I could hear was the sound of my thumping heart and the dripping of my blood from my head. The headlights of the truck twitched, then finally died down. The truck began to smoke, and I was certain that it would explode as the truck had been having some leakages. Although, my head was throbbing and I felt dizzy and nauseating, I knew I had to get out and far away from the vehicle. I tried the door but it was jammed. The smoke emanating from the truck increased and I suddenly found myself suffocating. I yelled and screamed in despair as I lost vision of everything but smoke. Just as I was about giving up on life, the car door was yanked open. I was carr

I managed to ask inspite of my fear. She shot me a hard glance and simply ignored my question. She unlocked the chains and helped me down the table. One of her hand was gripped on my shoulder and the other hand held the sharp dagger."What do you want from me?" I asked curiously. She looked at me with the meanest face I've ever seen and then she smirked. "You ask too many questions, Hillary, just like your sister."My heart began to pound. What did she mean by that. How did she know about my sister? How did she know me? All these and many more questions raided my mind and left me uneasy and more frightened.I needed answers badly. My curious mind couldn't bear any mo
"Hold on," I said, more confused than I had ever been. "please come again."She sighed."Please, at least let me understand." I pleaded. She gave me a long look. "Fine...""Thanks." I said"But... just once more. Your sister stole from the prince...""And who is 'the prince'". I said laying emphasis on the prince. She looked at me in total disbelief and confusion, like she really expected me to know who she was talking about."Okay, you want me to believe that you don't know who the prince is." She said with her eyes wide open.I nodded my head."You must be joking.""I'm not."She shook her head in disbelief and surprise. "Well, I'm talking about the current Lycan Prince, Lord Saints.""Who is a Lycan Prince?"She grumbled. "That's enough, all you need to know is that your sister
The tears began welling up in my eyes again as memories of Ava and I resurfaced. Although, it was merely a week that I had known her but that week was one of the best weeks of my life, if not the best. I remembered how happy both she and I were when we had visited the park and had rented two hairy small dogs. We had worn identical clothes which were more exposing than the clothes I wore normally. In other words, the clothes we had worn were perfectly normal and were not revealing in any terms, as the clothes I wore normally were usually covered from my neck to my toes and most of the times, from my head to my toes, as I usually wore long scarfs which covered my whole hair and most of my face, except my eyes. I chuckled when I remembered how I had usually asked Maribel why everyone thought we were crazy weirdos. We were indeed crazy weirdos. Most of my days in highschool, I went to school with fli
I opened my eyes to see who my savior was and took in a sigh of relieve as I saw Dylan. His eyes glowed red and his fury was very visible. Ava took a step towards me and grabbed me by my neck. She dragged me towards her and held the axe closer to my neck. "If you move an inch closer..." She said. He stopped and glared at Ava. "How can you treat yourself like this?" She frowned."I don't get you." "I honestly thought you had something in you, but with your stupid actions and unnecessary jealousy, you've proven to be nothing but a spoilt brat whose bad bloodline and wealth has corrupted your mind." "You know nothing about me, Dylan." I held myself together as I watched the whole drama unfold, praying earnestly in my mind that Dylan
The first thing I saw when I woke up was the beautiful tweeter bird I had seen the last time I had been in the pack house. It wasn't outside like it had been before but rather it was in a golden cage which was placed beside me.I sat up and groaned as the pain in my belly and back was still excruciating but I still managed to sit up.On the cage was a small letter which on it was a wildflower.I picked it up and read its content.Hello Sleepyhead, I hope yo
I walked out of the room with my bird on my shoulder. I found myself in a long passage decorated with black shiny sculptures of wolves, knights and swords and pictures of the moon, halfman-half wolf, packs of wolves and several things my brain couldn't understand. At the end of the passage was a double mahogany door with a golden knob. As I arrived at the door, I looked back and noticed that the room I had stayed was the only room in the passage. I held the door knob and twisted it slowly as I admired the beautiful door. The door was heavy and thick, probably six to seven inches but inspite it's thickness, it was incredibly easy to open. As the large doors opened, chattering of several human beings became audible and it became obvious to me that the door was noise proof. Immediately I stepped out, the whole chattering stopped and everywhere became awkwardly silent. By my right and left were long curly stairs which led downstairs. At my front were large chandeliers which tempted me t
"Dead." I mumbled in shock. "Yes...and all he wanted was to see you." Her voice faded as tears began falling from her eyes. She stared at her watch."He...died twenty minutes ago, but I had arrived here an hour before and he had told me to search for you, that's all he cared about...you." Guilty. I felt really Guilty. Although, I didn't cry but I felt very bad. Jordan had been very nice to me the first time we met and had treated me like his daughter. Apart from his niceness, he was the only person who knew about my father. I had lost the opportunity to know basic things about my Dad all because of my clumsiness.
