Alain’s slender fingers paused as his eyes met Eden’s. His eyes narrowed slightly, though barely noticeable.

What sharp eyes.

Even though it appeared as if she was looking at him nonchalantly, her eyes were extremely invasive. Despite wearing a mask, he could feel her eyes piercing through his mask, looking right at his face.

The two of them looked at each other for some time before Alain looked away with a smile. “It’s indeed worth more than my necklace.”

When the others heard what he said, they all stared at him with wide eyes.

What was wrong with him?

It was obvious that the tablet was something cheap, but he said that it was worth more than the Crystal Devotion.

Alain put it into his pocket and looked at Eden. “Are you leaving? I’ll walk with you!”

His tone was warm, like the breeze in spring.

“Sure,” Eden didn’t distance herself and turned around and left without second thought, leaving the Hunt family behind in confusion and anger.
