For three days after that, I still couldn't find out anything about the private investigator. No matter how many times I called him, there was never a response. That was when I knew for certain that something awful must have happened to him. I opened my laptop, intending to get another private investigator who would be able to find out exactly what had gone wrong with the man. The first thing I saw was a mailbox floating at the forbidden of my laptop screen. I opened it, thinking that it might be news from the man I was about to start a manhunt for.

As I read the content of the mail, my stomach churned. Yes, it was about the man I was looking for, but it was not in the sense that I wanted it to be. The letter was from his wife. I cleared my eyes and read it again to be sure that it was exactly what I thought it was.
