It had been long and tiring days for everyone at the mansion. From trying to make sure that Luna Lisa survived the poison that was slowly eating her up, to making sure that there were no other bad eggs around the pack, to making sure that Nathaniel didn't try anything funny, and finally to making sure that everyone at the pack was reassured of their safety.

"You've worked very hard all this time," Claire said to me, giving me a peck on the cheek.

"But I still feel like something is going to happen," I told her in a worried tone.

She held my hand and squeezed it to reassure me. "Don't be negative, baby."

"I'm not being negative. It's just—" My phone rang, cutting me off. I turned on the screen and was surprised when I saw that it was Angelo that was on the line. "Angelo," I said simply after I picked up the call.

"Come to the den. We need to have a word." The man said without preamble. Then, he hung up before I could get any word out.
