Delusion

Nabi reached her room, panting.

"They must have known that I am obsessed with Vampires, so they are pulling a prank on me. Yes, Correct! Correct! If they were vampires, they wouldn't let me go. Yeh!!"

As she thought and looked up, she could only see Vampires everywhere. Her walls were filled with Vampires pictures, and the bed, chair and stool had books. Her legs started trembling, looking at the cover page of each book.

Covering her face, she turned over and stood facing the door. As soon as she calmed her racing heart, a knock on the door startled her, and her poor heart started beating much faster than ever.

"Olivia? No, I don't want to face her. Will she be able to hear me with the door in the middle? Did she come to kill me? Did she come to make me forget what I saw and heard about them? Will she bite my neck and take my blood?" she panicked to herself.

Nabi's mind was with thousand questions, and her brain used all the fantasies that it read.

"Babe", she heard Hana's voice after the door knock.

"Hanaaaa!" she cried, opened the door and hugged her abruptly, making her lose balance.

Nabi shivered on touching Hana's skin. That made her think about multiple theories that Vampire's skin is cold. As soon as the cold logic struck her, she left Hana and stood upright, putting her hands stiff beside her.

Hana, who was expecting an interrogation about her date, was astonished to see her weird behaviour and inquired what happened.

"Why are you so cool?" she muttered beneath her heavy breath.

Hana shoved her question, asking her if she had known the temperature outside.

Nabi, who wasn't sure that she was Hana, challenged her, "Tell me my favourite colour, my favourite subject and also my dream," asking those questions, she stood as tall as pillar folding hands.

Though Hana didn't figure out what was happening, she replied, "Lavender, math and meeting a vampire."

Hearing the word 'Vampire' made her feet and palms cold. Gulping her saliva, she blabbered, "I think my dream has come true."

"Aaaa!!!" Hana was stunned by her reply. Watching the room with Vampire pictures, she thought that Nabi was scared after reading or watching a vampire series. But she looked suspicious as to what book or movie could make a five-year Vampire fan this scared.

Finally, she decided to listen to her and made Nabi sit on the bed facing the door. Covering the Vampire books with scary cover pages with a bedsheet, she asked to tell about everything.

Nabi was still suspecting Hana if she was original, sat there without uttering a word. As Nabi was slowly gathering her thoughts, Hana poured a glass of water and put it in her hand.

As she was gulping, she seemed to have concluded and declared, "Ok! I think you are real," and patted Hana's shoulder.

Hana was confused and didn't understand what was happening. So, she asked her gently, "How did you had come to this ending?"

Nabi confidently answered that she was sure because no Vampire series had a scene where a Vampire turned into another person.

Hana facepalmed as to how her humanity was checked and uttered, "Great Conclusion! Now tell me what happened."

Nabi explained every detail to Hana as though she was a director illustrating a scene to the actor. After an hour of the detailed description, Hana sighed, "So, you think that the siblings are Vampires just because you can hear his thoughts."

Though Nabi felt Hana's final interface was correct, she looked displeased. Looking at the chaos on Nabi's face, Hana understood that she wasn't satisfied.

"Fine, tell me the traits of Vampires. We will compare each one.", Hana suggested as she knew that Nabi's isn't in a position to believe anyone except her Vampire collection.

"Superb", Nabi exclaimed, taking out a book that was under the pillow. "Here, these are the characteristics of Vampire", Nabi smiled, pointing to a page in the book.

Looking at Nabi smiling, who had been shivering an hour ago, Hana felt that she could go crazy any moment soon.

Reading the first trait loud, "Pure white skin."

Nabi yelled, "See, I told you that they are vampires. You should see Olivia's skin, it was super pale and smooth".

Observing the various expressions that Nabi was showing, Hana was hundred per cent sure that they wouldn't have a good night sleep that day. She felt the ferocity inside her, which she never felt before.

"So, do you think Albert in our class too is a vampire?" Hana questioned in a frustrated voice.

"Drink Blood, Immortality, Avoiding sunlight...." Hana quickly read as those traits couldn't be determined, as Nabi had only a few minutes to meet with them in the cafe.

Nabi, who appeared worried before, looked sad and uttered, "So haven't I met a Vampire."

Hana felt that she was on the edge of crying, looking at her friend's roller-coaster emotions. Suppressing her anger, she continued reading the list, "Cool skin, did you touch any one of them?" she queried.

Nabi shook her head.

"Fast", she read as she looked at Nabi.

Nabi shook her head.

"Now tell me why made you think that they are vampires", Hana asked in frustration.

He said not to respond to the human's voice, Nabi claimed, still disbelieving that they weren't vampires.

As they were talking, Nabi heard the adjoining door open. Immediately she dragged Hana out, locked the door and rushed to Hana's room, situated right above her's.

Hana left like a puppy that was being dragged for a bath.

Olivia chuckled and shut her door, listening to the chaos.
