Hana's Unromantic Date

Hana was pissed off with Nabi's bizarre behaviour and on reaching her room, yelled, "What the hell, Nabi?"

Nabi was stunned to see Hana being angry. She hasn't seen her furious in their three years of friendship.

"I am tired. I will sleep here today," Nabi said in an alarmed expression and went to bed, covering herself completely with the bedsheet.

Sitting beside Nabi, Hana engaged in the search for a positive creature. Not knowing fantasy and non-human creatures, she started searching on her phone. After ten minutes of g****e search, she told Nabi, who was still awake that the so-called siblings might be some religious persons who could communicate through the mind.

Paying attention to what Hana said, Nabi asked her, "What could be the reason that only his inner voice was audible?" To which, Hana replied with a smile that her sensitive ears were oversensitive to his voice.

"Suddenly, she was in Beau's arms while she was walking alone in a garden. Beau was carrying her and running as fast as a deer. He stopped as they reached a place filled with snow. Putting her down, both leaned towards each other and kissed."

"Nabi! Nabi!" a voice called her.

She opened her eyes slowly to see Hana looking at her with a weird expression. It was then, Nabi realized that it was a dream that she had every time, but she felt strange because it was the first time that she could see faces, and the kiss was never in her dream.

As she was deep in thought about why she visualized Beau and her, Hana hugged and teased her asking who came in her dream that she kept smiling shyly in sleep.

Nabi was speechless by Hana's question. Ignoring her question, she asked Hana what the time was.

Hana chuckled as Nabi got up from the bed hurriedly.

Since it was already 11, they decided to have blunch at 12:30.

Hana was busy chatting and giggling over her phone. Although Nabi noticed, she chose not to disturb but to use this opportunity to think regarding why Beau and she were the actors in her dream.

"I can hear his mind voice. I dreamt of him the very next day I met him. Could it be because I was thinking of them the whole night? If it is so, Olivia too must appear in the dream? Could he be my partner that shaman mentioned? She even asked me to be careful, and now it is damn scary to have a Vampire as a partner. Can I have a romantic life with him? Shit! At least will I be alive. Stupid Vampires!!" saying the last two words aloud, she stood up.

Hana threw her mobile on the bed on hearing the last two words. Instantly, she ran towards Nabi placing her palm on her forehead. "You don't seem to have a fever. Did the sunrise in the west today?"

Nabi, who wasn't in the mood to joke with her, babbled that she was hungry and walked towards the door. Hana silently followed her.

Both reached the canteen without uttering a word on the way.

The moment she entered the canteen, she heard someone say, "Finally!"

She turned to a stone, realizing the owner of the voice and repeatedly said herself, "Don't think! Don't think!"

"Don't be frightened! You have sensitive ears like Olivia. So, you can hear my voice. That's it."

Knowing that all the conclusions about him being my partner were wrong, she continued her poem, "Don't think," and walked towards her friend standing near the counter, who was already staring at her.

Even though Vampires could control their hearing and thoughts, Beau continued hearing Nabi's hum.

"Can you think something else"

"Don't listen! Don't listen!"

Beau choked over the drink as she slightly modified the song from 'listen' to 'think'. Nabi smiled and continued a different hum, "Don't think! Don't listen!"

Hana blinked her eyes, gazing at Nabi, who was smiling to herself. "Why don't you tell me the joke too?"

Can you hear me if I talk out?

Beau replied 'NO' because the 'YES' word can make her more frightened, and of course, he wanted to listen to what she would tell to her friend.

"Beau is in the cafe," she whispered, bending a little towards Hana, still not sure if he was telling the truth.

"Where is he?"

"I don't know."

Both Hana and Beau were surprised by the answer.

"We are two individuals who can listen to each other thoughts in her view. Of course, She must be confused and chose to ignore me.", Beau told himself.

"Then how did you know that he was here. Can you hear his voice?" Hana asked her in excitement.

"Yes", she uttered most feebly.

"Wow! he made you laugh at last. You didn't at least smile since last night", Hana exclaimed.

Nabi put a weird smile and continued her chant, "Don't think! Don't think!"

"What were you talking to her?"

"None of your business."

"C'mon, isn't it better than chanting"

"1...2..3..4..5..6..7..8...."

"Do you think that I am handsome?"

"No... 9.. 10..11..12."

"But didn't you say that I have lovely...hazel green eyes."

"Hana! Speak with me, Speak something! I don't want to hear him. He isn't letting me eat. I am hungry", she spoke, stuffing her mouth.

Beau stopped speaking but stared at Nabi how she was eating like a kid.

"What did you both speak?" Hana questioned.

In return, Nabi asked how her date with Ian was.

Drawing circles on the plate with her spoon, she replied, "I have read many comic books that Ian suggested. They were quite funny."

Nabi was not amused by her answer, as she knew how naive Hana was, so continued asking - "What did you have for dinner?"

"Ian suggested a Chinese restaurant, but I showed him the ten coupons that I gathered for a local restaurant. We ate everything for half the price. Don't you think that I am an economical girlfriend?" Hana asked, boosting herself.

"Ten coupons!! Ian is our friend; he won't look down on you. Local Shop is fine. What did you eat?" Nabi asked, stroking Hana's hair.

"Chicken legs, Chicken wings, Chicken feet...They were so yum. I will take you to the restaurant someday. Why will Ian look down? Isn't it good to be a money-saving person?" she answered innocently.

"Not at all. You will become a good, No, the BEST girlfriend," Nabi assured, continuing her lunch imagining Hana eating legs and wings on her first date.

On the other hand, Beau was having a tough time controlling his laugh too. He couldn't laugh outside as it would look weird laughing alone.

Looking at Nabi's empty plate, he conveyed, "Looks like you completed your lunch."

Nabi almost forgot that Beau was around, immediately caught Hana's hand and left the cafe.

While she was about to exit, she heard a smiling voice.

"Bye!!"
