Chapter 38- Safest Place
Some hours later. Raymond and Grace we're still seated as they were. Raymond was looking tired.
"Very soon, it will be our turn"Raymond shook his head. He was talking to Grace and unknown to him, she had dozed off. He gently put her head on his shoulder.
" That's one essence of snoring. If you do snore. I wouldn't be talking to a sleeping girl" he was disappointed that she wasn't listening to him. But he wouldn't wake her from her sleep.
"It's good you don't snore. It will be an embarrassment for me here right now" he kept talking to her.
"And how many hours of the day do you want to spend sleeping,huh?" he questioned angrily.
"Sleep all you want, I don't care" he lied, he wanted her awake so they could keep talking to while away the time.
"No, no, no, stop" Grace made a muffled scream from her sleep. It seemed she had a scary dream.

Mayor Mount and Raymond could hear heavy footsteps coming behind them in the basement."Do you hear that? He was right behind us" Mayor Mount was completely scared. He rushed to one of the doors of the room in the basement."Do not panic. Today is our day. Isn't it?" Raymond winked at Grace. He believed greatly in Grace. Once she was with them. Grace was back but very weak. The fact that she was not dead yet was a great relief to Raymond.
