Raymond had become distressed in the big iron cage. He turned his view to the side where some clanging sounds came from. Someone was coming into the cage with a plate of food.
He hissed loudly. He wasn't interested in the food. He was hungry but a food being served to him like a prisoner, would kill all the appetite in him.
The man who came dropped the food in front of him.
"I don't need your damn food. Take it away" he kicked the plate hard. The plate flew up to hit a side of the cage and the food splattered through the bars right on Jackson's body.
He didn't know he was there before. As it turned out to be, it delighted him. Jackson brushed off the food that had already stained his shirt and stared at Raymond wickedly.
Raymond grinned loudly. That hurt him and that was how it should be. Jackson turned and was walking away.
"She won't come back!" Raymond exclaimed and caught his attention. Jackson came back to his side outside the cage.
The alarm went on and on, blaring loudly all over the building. Everywhere was a chaos. People rushed outward as they were being evacuated by the security personnels.Grace stood breathless, glued to the wall on the staircase. There were bruises all over her body. She watched the whole event unfolding like cinema before her.She wanted to sneak out. But she hadn't found any way possible to do that. She didn't really have a good escape plan. She thought she would mingle with the crowd being evacuated but that was no longer possible."Lock down the building" the little Wong screamed running around followed by some armed men.He knew what happened and knew Grace's face. Grace wasn't sure if he could trust him. He might turn her over. Someone that could conspire to kill his own brother. The alarm that went off instantly might even be his doing. She should have been long gone before anyone could notice."She is still in the building, a slim
Raymond heart skipped a beat. He held the part of his chest where the bullet would hit him, where Jackson had aimed. His hand wouldn't stop the bullet. He would still die anyway.Jackson pulled the trigger. The gun clicked. It was empty. He threw the gun at him, but it the iron bars and fell to the ground.Grace came in. It was her normal self. She couldn't have been the one beating Jackson up like this unless there was something Jackson didn't know."Grace" Jackson yelled happily. She rushed to the cage and held his hands. She cried and kissed his hands."It was a trap" Raymond said. He was happy to see her again. Grace nodded and checked for a door around the cage where Raymond could come out through."There's no door. The switch is over that side" he pointed to direct her. He saw Jackson crawling outwards."He's getting away" he notified Grace."He can't go anywhere" she replied without looking back. She flipped the switch an
Raymond and Grace walked out from Newland Airports. They waited for a cab."That was quite a long story" Raymond whispered into her ears. "But I am more interested in the run away helicopter" he emphasized."Why are you making it sound like it was a load of fun. I was very scared. Dead scared" Grace growled. It seemed she didn't like how Raymond had been lauding the ride in the helicopter."Fun, scare. They are related in some ways. Isn't that why people watch horror movies?" Raymond asked cunningly with a comeback. He would make Grace spilled out all what was inside of her."Scared of dying is very different from sitting down in some big cinemas, munching popcorn, watching some big screens showing some exclusively owned movies. You get scared in there and you hold tight to your seat or your partner that took you out on that special date you are trying to memorialize with some scary things" Grace gasped. That took her some time
Few weeks later. It was dark at night. Grace, in her zombie form, climbed up on the glass surface of a penthouse straight to the top pest floor. She hanged on with both hands and swung her body back, brought it back on the glass. The glass shattered and she made her way in. She got out of the room she entered into the hallway sneaking through. Bright lights glowing enough to blind came on suddenly.Alarm blared all over the penthouse. She turned round and round in amazement. Some gunned rushed to the hallway down from where she was."Stop right there" a man screamed. The zombie Grace took to her heels. She was trailed by gunfire.Eight hours earlier.Grace and Raymond strolled hand in hand in the cemetery. Grace was carrying some flowers. They stopped at a headstone which read 'Emily Brunt, 1973-2009'Grace put down the flower. She knelt beside it. He looked at Raymond's face above. Her face was clouded with tears. R
Grace took some steps backward. She ran towards the opening and jumped. She flew past all the buildings and landed somewhere very far away. She turned back into her normal self after groaning and shaking in pains. This was a part she really didn't like. She smiled satisfactorily and headed home.Raymond woke up in the bedroom. He stretched his hand to his side. He wanted to touch Grace but he didn't touch anything. Without looking up. He moved closer and stretched his hand again, much further. He ran his hand forth and back searching for her.He jumped up after he discovered she wasn't by his side. He got out of bed and went into the bathroom. She wasn't there. He checked the time. It was past one in the night."Where did she go?" he muttered. He was becoming impatient. He calmed himself to be at ease and checked her in the living room. He could fret if he didn't find her by then.He walked down the stairs to the living room to m
"Is this the Quart Bodyguard Services?" Robert asked without hesitation after getting connected on the phone."Good morning sir. This is the official phone of Quart Bodyguard Service QBS. How may I help you?" a female operator voice expressed clearly."That's good. I'm in dire need of a bodyguard. I need it as fast as now. I need it yesterday" he couldn't articulate himself anymore. His anxiety had taken over him."We will make sure your request is handled with immediate effect. I will also like to let you know that the process may take two to three working days. You will send us a details of your desired bodyguard to provide you with the best of your choice" the voice prompted. Robert squeezed his face. That wasn't helpful."Three working days? I don't have seventy hours. Let me break it down to you. My life is on the line. I could die if I do not get a protector by the end of today. If there is anything, you can do like connecting me with your boss. And
"Your mind is not here" Raymond tapped Grace. He had been noticing since they started dancing. She wasn't even dancing. All she did was circling a spot with fake short lived smiles that faded instantly."I can't hear you" she screamed putting her hand to her ear. That was obviously a lie. Raymond knew he heard him well. She just wanted to use the loud music as an excuse and avoid the message.Raymond grabbed him roughly and held him close to his body."Oh What!" she screamed in surprise."We are here because of you. What is the essence if you yourself is only in body and not in mind. You can't catch fun like that. You understand?" he let go of her but his gaze remained fixed on her. He was waiting for a reaction or response."It's okay. It's nothing. I just need a little time to let the party sink in to my brain, mind actually" she pointed her finger to the floor illustrating the sinking in. She had another fake smile. One of those sh
These rich men were funny. He had believed he would find his way out of this by negotiating. It was possible if the people involved had money as their motive. There was another problem. Grace zombie couldn't talk. He hadn't know that yet."First let me introduce my new bodyguard to you. Mr. Tau. That's all we have about him. I'm sorry about his obscenity. I couldn't get him to wear a shirt. I tried a lot. Let's just say I have a luck of getting bodyguards that I can't control. You will be happy to know he is the brain behind this meeting" Robert said with a lot of smiles. He stopped for Grace input. So the shirtless guy was a bodyguard. No wonder he had gotten a lot of muscles. He didn't even look in Grace's direction. He pretended there was no one with them.Grace noticed Robert waiting for her to say something. She touched her wrist with her finger. It seemed Robert didn't understand what she meant. She pointed to the wall cl
