Illusion

Sean's POV

I reflexively stepped back, away from the crazy woman still following me despite being chased away. I didn't know what was wrong with Emma that she still dared to approach me like this, even entering my house, which shouldn't be easy.

Emma stood up, giving up on whining because I didn't do anything. She cleaned the back of her dress and smiled, looking like a maniac. "Sean, you don't have to pretend anymore. There are only two of us here. You can express your love now, and I can accept it wholeheartedly."

"I don't love you, Emma," I spoke, but Emma seemed to refuse to accept my words because they didn't match what she expected from me.

She laughed, covering her mouth shyly. "Gosh, Sean. You're still like that. You don't have to hide anything from me anymore because I already know everything."
