Arabella's POV

"Hi, Bella?" A man stared and asked me questions, looking friendly as he approached me. I was a little slow to recognize him as the employee accompanying me when introducing myself to our team, the bracelet on his hand immediately reminded me.

I smiled back and extended my hand. "Yes. "Nice to meet you in person, Alex."

"Me too." Alex smiled wider, releasing my hand once we had shaken hands for a moment. She grimaced. "You're so much prettier than your picture that I was a little hesitant to greet you earlier."

I snorted a laugh, appreciating his sincere-sounding pep talk. "Thank you."

"Come on, follow me. "The others are waiting inside." Alex led me toward the glass door that slid automatically when the man stuck his identification card in a device attached to the door slats.
