The message was from an unknown number and her heart fluttered as she read the text.
"Meet me backstage."They were dating for four years and they had planned their lives together. Bobby would study law and complete his football career and Summer would graduate from law as well. They would open up their own law firm and have two gorgeous babies. A huge house on lake Sol with a pool and a rose garden. Her life would be the perfect fairytale, the ones she read as a child."This was it." Summer thought," he is going to propose to me. I will be his fiance' and his wife in a year or two." This was going to be her fate, sealed. She did not think that this day would come so soon but it was here and the excitement she felt was unexplainable. She could picture the look on Brooks face, she knew Brook had always wanted to date Bobby, but that was a far fetched dream. Soon she would meet his parents, everything will be official and their lives together would begin.Summer couldn't believe that Bobby would have such courage to propose on stage in front of all their friends and colleagues. She admired his boldness. He heart pounded in her chest from excitement.Summer lifted up the front of her dress slightly and charged through the crowd, making her way backstage. She stopped a few steps away and adjusted her hair and dress before walking in. Pulling out her small mirror ,she applied her pink lipgloss and smacked her lips together. She wanted to look perfect. Her curls fell loosely on her shoulders as she adjusted the baby blue butterfly clip on the left side of her head. Summer took a few deep breaths, steadying her heart beat. She sneaked up behind the curtain, not wanting to startle him, mainly because she still felt a bit nervous.Standing dumbstruck , she watched Bobby kiss Brook passionately, squeezing her buttocks against the piano."No,No,No. This is not it. It can't be " her Luna screamed from the inside. Summer's mind was fuzzy, her heart felt like it was sliced into tiny pieces.Tears streamed down her cheek as she watched them gliding their hands all over eachother. Brooks mini dress was now looking like a crop top.Summer had seen enough and turned around, leaving them to continue. They were oblivious to her entering and leaving, lost in the lust of eachother. As she walked towards the exit, the curtain was raised and everyone gasped. The music stopped and all eyes turned to the show that was being performed by Bobby and Brook.Summer turned around and looked at Bobby dead in the eyes.Brook quickly pulled down her dress and ran off the stage embarrassed. Her heels clicking loudly on the floor as all the male eyes followed.Tyler could not help himself. He had watched his brother play Summer over the last two years and this time he had to expose him for what he is. A liar and a cheat. He could not help himself when he saw the tears fall down Summer's soft white cheeks. The rope was within his reach and he made the decision to raise the curtain. He wanted to be the one to wipe her tears but he knew that he couldn't. Although he had loved her before his brother could court her, he just couldn't start a war with his brother. His non-identical twin was an alpha like their father and he had inherited the genes of his mother. A normal human boy. He was no match for Bobby and decided to love Summer from a distance.Bobby neatened himself and jumped off the stage. Turning back he motioned for the band to start playing again. He needed to take the attention off him.Bobby ran to the exit of the hall but Summer was already gone. She disappeared into the night. He looked outside frantically. This was not how things were meant to be. This was going to be his last fling. But he said that to himself every time he was unfaithful to her.He felt a tinge of guilt which now disappeared when Brook layed her hand on his chest. She kissed his cheek." We have been doing this for almost a year now. You know I am what you need and want. Why fight this? Now that it's out in the open ,let's take advantage of the situation. It's not like Summer is going to take you back. But I am here."Her words were true. Bobby somehow felt relieved. He was tired of lying to Summer but he also didn't want to lose her for his financial benefits. He hoped that they could still be friends He knew she was too sweet and gullible. She would soon forgive him.She licked his ear drawing him in with her fragrance and soon he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her on the lips. She pouted and made puppy dog eyes and he kissed her more feverishly. They danced the night away and all Tyler could do was watch disgustedly. He felt really bad for Summer. He knew she loved Bobby with all of her heart and he hoped that she would learn to heal, forget the pain and love again.Summer took her wolf form and charged off into the moonlit night. Adrenaline coursed through her veins as the gut wrenching images displayed in her mind. She did not want to go home this early ,fearing her always inquisitive mother would pry into her life. She did not need a lecture or some sort of motherly pity. She did not need a forgive and forget intervention or a never go back to him advice session from all her aunt's that her mother would tell her sad story to.He brown fur blowing in the wind as her hazel brown eyes filled with tears. Finding herself in the dead of night in a secluded park metres away from the school she turned back into her human form and sat on the swing. Her head hung in sadness and pity as hot tears spilled from her eyes. She opened her purse and took out the handkerchief Bobby had given her that night and wiped the mascara that stained her cheeks. The foundation had been removed with one wipe and now her freckled cheeks were visible. She looked up at the sky, which was clear a few minutes ago. Now the moon was blocked with dark clouds. Thunder roared in the distance and Summer took this as a bad omen. She felt that the moon goddess was upset as the clouds gave way and raindrops poured down on her. She was now drenched and cold. She scrunched up the handkerchief into a ball and threw it in the dirt. Her teeth chattered." What have I done wrong , oh moon Goddess?"Summer jumped off the swing, she felt a sharp pain in her foot. She looked at her shoe which now had streaks of blood. She tried to remove her shoe but it was stuck and with each tug the pain jolted up her leg.She sat down in the dirt and placed her foot on her lap, looking at her foot with concentration. There was something shiny underneath her shoe. She used her nail to pull it out and to her surprise after much struggle, was a nail that had pierced through her shoe and into her foot. The rain beat down on her as the blood gushed from her wound. She grabbed Bobby's handkerchief out of the mud and swabbed her foot with the clean side. She rummaged through her purse and found a tampon. She carefully pulled out some wool from it and packed the hole in her foot, slipping her shoe back on.She looked at the blood stained handkerchief and through it once more on the ground.Taking her wolf form she galloped into town, taking her human form one alley before a motel.Drenched, she walked int
Summer enjoyed her flight in her father's private jet. Although the air hostess gave her awkward looks, she did not dare pass a remark. Clearly the air hostess knew her place in society as a beta. They reached palm beach in six hours and it was almost dark .She had spent all day travelling and felt exhausted. She was jet lagged and just wanted a hot meal, a shower and a good night's rest .The driver fetched her from the airport and drove her to her father's house on the beach.Although he gave her a questioning look, he dare not speak ill.She walked up the honey gold tiled stairs and into a large foyer."Dad, I am home!" She shouted. Her father exited the kitchen with his Hawaiian green shorts and a colourful flower print shirt."Aloha my baby girl." He said before looking at her from head to toe." My God, what has happened to you? You look as if you were mauled by a pack of wolves."" Ah, you are funny as ever." Summer laughed."Wait let me guess. You played Cinderella last night
Summer entered the boutique on Fifth avenue. She felt rather out of place as she looked at the woman who were elegantly dressed in skirts, blouses and summer dresses stood like wall flowers.Summer had pulled on a jeans and tank top which she had left at her dad's place two holidays ago.The sales assistant looked at her, rolling her eyes she snapped her fingers for a smaller ,fatter version of herself to join her.Summer looked at the snooty woman and thought that she has requested the snowball next to her to assist her. To Summer's surprise, she requested the woman to call security."Shoplifter alert." She said loudly and all eyes in the store fell on Summer.Summer stood frozen. This was the first time in her life she was labeled a thief and in public just because of her dressing. Did th way one dressed, define their character?A few minutes later the sales assistant walked towards her with the security," Here she is. This lady is here to shoplift. Get her out of the store."Summer
The new Ella Woods looked around at the busy high end restaurant. It was elegantly decorated. The gold and white art matched the antique brown drapes, perfectly. Even the gold cutlery and crockery looked expensive. She wondered if it were real gold, fighting the urge to bite the tip of a spoon."Your father purchased and revamped the entire restaurant this morning after he heard you will be staying with him permanently. He thought it would fit in with your new identity " Mr Hunt smiled."Thank you." She picked up her documents and left.Although she didn't want to he rude, she needed some time to adjust. She needed to process the break up and her past life, transitioning into her new life.Ella did not want expect to have so many mixed emotions. She stayed silent all the way home, lost in her own thoughts and fantasies.Kicking her heels off, Ella lay on the couch flipping through television channels until something caught her eye." Hey dad. Did you see this?" Ella shouted."See wha
Ella packed her bags, taking her father's private jet once more, she landed in Salt Rock. The air hostess looked at her in confusion and the driver that had fetched her two days ago, when she looked like a mess was baffled."Miss Woods, right?" The driver asked. The expression on his face was priceless.Ella tipped her sunglasses and looked at him, " yes."" Are you sure you are not Mr Ray's daughter? The one I picked up a few days ago."He stared at her in the rearview mirror."Well. Yes I am. I am his adopted daughter, Ella Woods." Ella replied." The resemblance is remarkable." He scratched his chin."Let's just say, my father has good taste." Ella laughed. She enjoyed watching the driver scratch his head. She just wondered how much havoc she is going to create in Salt Rock.Turning into Time Boulevard, Ella could not help but stare at all the luxury boutiques. This place was fairly new but also upmarket for her. She had only seen pictures is the magazine's but it was definitely mo
Ella jumped onto the king sized bed in the centre of the room. She was on the last floor of the building, the penthouse suite. After all she was the owner and this could easily be home for her if she wanted it to be.Just like her restaurant back in Palm beach, the room was elegantly decorated in white and gold. She felt like a princess. She wished she had taken the offer from her father sooner, but her love for Bobby kept her rooted in Salt Rock. Now she regretted even knowing him and wished she could turn back the hands of time. Her blood boiled whenever his name came to mind. He was a topic that made her heart blacken. Her eyes grew dark as she remembered the betrayal." May I help you?" A slender old woman asked in a frail voice, dressed in a black formal skirt suit. Ella looked up at the grandmotherly looking woman, she did not even know she was in the room. Ella wondered why was somebody that was at the retirement age still working here. She should be home baking apple pies.
Ella heard the police sirens in the distance, it was getting closer by the second and she knew within five minutes or less, they would be at her door.A few minutes later , Brook smirked. " Do you hear that? Soon you will be in handcuffs and this whole nightmare you have created will be over. You will be the one behind bars."Ella sat smiling as she gulped down the last drops of her wine.A gentle knock on the door made Brook jump up from the couch. She opened the door fiercely." Here she is officer. The liar. She isn't missing. She is here. Summer Ray.""Calm down, Miss Wilds." The officer held up his hand. " Are you sure this is Miss Ray?""Look at her. This is her." Brook insisted." Miss Ray?" The officer looked at Ella."Miss Wood's. Ella Woods." Ella introduced herself."She is lying." Brook shrieked." Can I see some identification?" The officer asked politely."Sure. Ella picked up her hand bag and rummaged through its contents, finally pulling out her wallet. She handed over
The officer dragged Ella into the police station," looks like I just solved the missing person's case, boys!"Cheers erupted all around her but the captain didn't look too pleased." Officer Duke, do you know who this is?""Yeah, boss. It's Summer Ray. The girl that went missing a week ago. You should be happy. Your daughter is of the hook for kidnapping and possible murder."" You idiot. Do you not read the paper. It is Miss Ella Woods. The investor of the new upmarket hotel and mall on the southside of town." The captain barked. "Sir. That's what I initially thought but your daughter insisted I bring her in." Officer Duke replied." You are listening to my eighteen year old daughter who barely has the knowledge of frying an egg." Captain Wilds lifted an eyebrow.Officer Duke shoved Ella into a cell and slammed it shut. He pulled Mr Wilds aside and began a conversation of persuasion.Ella's Luna senses heightened as she concentrated on hearing."Just think about it. She will be frame
