Chapter 8. surprise visitor

Ella jumped onto the king sized bed in the centre of the room. She was on the last floor of the building, the penthouse suite. After all she was the owner and this could easily be home for her if she wanted it to be.

Just like her restaurant back in Palm beach, the room was elegantly decorated in white and gold. She felt like a princess. She wished she had taken the offer from her father sooner, but her love for Bobby kept her rooted in Salt Rock. Now she regretted even knowing him and wished she could turn back the hands of time. Her blood boiled whenever his name came to mind. He was a topic that made her heart blacken. Her eyes grew dark as she remembered the betrayal.

" May I help you?" A slender old woman asked in a frail voice, dressed in a black formal skirt suit.

Ella looked up at the grandmotherly looking woman, she did not even know she was in the room. Ella wondered why was somebody that was at the retirement age still working here. She should be home baking apple pies.

" Oh no. I can unpack myself." Ella replied ." Will you be standing here all afternoon. You know? In my room?"

" If you don't need me than I can leave." She replied." By the way my name is Susan.

"Susan styles." She held out a shaky hand.

The name triggered Ella and she was no longer feeling pity for the old woman. Styles. That awful name. The name that ruined her life. The name that betrayed her.

"Get out." Ella screamed.

The lady hurried trying not to trip over her own feet.

Ella layed on the bed, feeling jet lagged she drifted of into a deep sleep.

It was well after eight o clock in the night when she woke up, dripping in sweat. Her hair matted to her forehead and her clothes now drenched.

Remembering the nightmare she had just had, she sat up against the golden oak headboard.

Images of Bobby and Brook flashed in her mind, their contorted faces laughing at her, pointing fingers in her face and talking amongst themselves.

She held a white soft pillow against her face to muffle her screams. She would be haunted forever by their betrayal. She would be haunted by her boyfriends unfaithfulness for eternity until she got her revenge.

The image of them on the white piano was forever imprinted in her mind making her crave an unforgettable revenge.

He had promised to marry her. She remained a virgin ,waiting for their wedding day. He had lied to her that he would wait.

She looked outside at the dark night as her stomach growled. The moon, hidden by the clouds and a few stars dulled in the sky.Picking up the bedside telephone, she ordered room service.

As she freshened up, her doorbell rang.

Expecting her dinner, Ella opened the door without peeking through magic eye on her door.

" I knew it. You are alive, Summer Ray!" Brook barged in.

Ella stood stunned. How did Brook know she was here?

She gathered her composure and decided to stand her ground.

"Who the hell are you?" Ella asked boldly.

"Don't act like you don't know! I am Brook, you cheap little skank. I stole your boyfriend! Bobby. Bobby Styles." Brook shoved Ella and she stumbled backwards.

Her raging Luna wanted to surface but Ella took a deep breath and steadied herself. She remembered that she was now Ella, a wealthy woman from Palm beach. Although the Brook's perfectly ugly face annoyed her, she knew she could not make an error with her new identity.

" Listen here. I don't know who you are or what you want. But since you claim to have stolen some Summer Ray's boyfriend, it makes you a cheap skank." Ella spat out venomously. She had now had enough of Brooks bullying. She had endured it all through highschool and she will never allow herself to be a punching bag to anyone else , especially Brook, never ever ever again in her life.

" You little slut. Acting like you are someone else." Brook shrieked, swinging her arm.

Ella caught her arm with one swift move and flung her hand to the side. Brook stumbled but gathered herself quickly.

" I told you once, I told you twice. I am not Summer. I am Ella . Ella Woods! Get that through your thick skull." Ella shouted." And if you don't leave, I will call security."

" I will not leave. I have called the police. You will not get away. Trying to frame us for your fake murder. " Brook had calmed down and now walked to the couch, taking a seat.

" Fake murder?" Ella questioned.

Ella remembered from the news that it was just a missing persons case with suspected foul play.

"Yes. But clearly you are alive!" Brook replied,.

"Miss Woods," Ella turned to see that her food had arrived. " Your dinner is here."

The little old lady brought in a trolley with many dishes.

Ella was starving a few minutes ago until Brook had shown up at her door.

"Thank you." Ella replied graciously.

Although she was not hungry, she kept her cool and poured herself a glass of wine.

"I see you have a guest, should I bring another order?" The old woman asked.

"She won't be here long." Ella replied.

Taking a long sip of her wine , Ella sat on a recliner seat across from Brook.

As the door closed behind the little old lady, Brook shot Ella an evil glance.

" So you really want to play this game. We will see who is the liar when the police arrive!"

" Yes. I'm sure we will." Ella replied confidently as she sipped her wine with a smile.
