Eva woke up feeling light. Slowly she opened her eyes and looked at her surroundings with a frown. She is lying on a huge bed, which is soft and comfortable. She is wrapped in a black coloured comforter.
The room itself is bathed with soft lighting. There are two doors on to her right and another one on her left. The walls are painted with grey colour, peppered with black here and there. The room is huge and lavish. Before she could question herself about where she is, the unique male scent of Damien wafted from the sheets, tingling her senses. She immediately understood where she is. She remembered what happened in his cabin. Sadness overwhelmed her when she thought about her father. She composed herself before she could break down into tears again.'I should leave' she thought.
Damien's words kept repeating in her head.
'You. Are. Mine' Eva began to panic when she remembered Damien's possessive declarati
Eva twisted the handle a few more times, but it's obvious that the door is locked. Her face twisted with anger. She turned back and glared at Damien. "What the hell is this Damien? Unlock the doir now" she demanded angrily. Damien shook his head. "No" he replied calmly. Eva frowned. "What do you mean by no? You cannot keep me here forever. You have to let me go. I am not a prisoner" she demanded angrily. Damien smiled looking at her cute face, which turned red with anger. "Of course angel, you are not a prisoner. You are my wife. So your place is beside me. You will stay where ever I stay" he explained his intention of locking her in. What Damien said is true. But not entirely. He would have never done this if she is not so adamant about running away from everyone. He wants to stop her and make her realise that she is wrong. Eva on the other hand understood why Damien locked the doors. She knows him better than
Damien pulled back reluctantly when Eva wrapped her arms around his neck and moulded her body with his. He kissed her to make a point and he cannot get carried away no matter how good it feels. Her mouth feels like heaven and she tastes like the sweetest honey on the planet. But he kissed her to prove that he didn't force her to do everything. They share a chemistry and connection which she cannot deny. He looked at Eva, who is having a confused look on her face. Her lips are red and swollen. Her eyes are dilated. She is wrapping her arms around his neck tightly and there is little to no space between their bodies. Her breath is fanning his face and she looks confused. "See, I didn't force everything. You kissed me yourself. If you don't like me, then you wouldn't have kissed me like this. Don't deny the obvious angel. You are mine. Mind, body and soul" he whispered. His voice is husky as he is turned on from their kiss. Eva's eyes widened when she re
Eva looked at the keys he is holding with his fingers. He is looking at her with an unreadable expression. She never saw him act this coldly towards her. And it's hurting her more than she thought it would. 'Will I ever recover if I leave him today? I never thought I could love a person to the point where I would question my own actions ' But she didn't let the turmoil in her heart show on her face. "These are the keys to your freedom. Take it" he said and extended his hand towards her, in which he is holding the keys. When Eva was about to snatch the keys of his fingers, he pulled his hand back. Eva looked at him with a frown. "Before you take the keys, you should always remember that you are the reason for my self-destruction. I am sure my face would be splashed all over the Internet and newspapers by tomorrow morning. Then you can proudly congratulate yourself for ruining the man who loved you with everything he got" he said with determinat
"Damien, Damien please wake up. Damien, please don't do this to me. Damien" Eva tried to wake him up. She shook his unmoving body in an attempt to wake him up. But he didn't move even an inch. His eyelids which are closed, never fluttered to indicate that he is ok. That made Eva cry harder. She tried to feel his pulse, but it's not there. The moment she realized that she couldn't feel his pulse, she cursed herself and fell on his body with her head lying on his chest and arms wrapped tightly around him. She cannot believe that she lost Damien. This is what she feared the most. Losing another loved one like she lost her dear father. She can live away from them with the thought that they are safe somewhere. But she cannot live after knowing that they are no more. "What have I done Damien? What have I done? I am cursed. I am a bad omen. That's why I tried to go away from you. So that you could be happy without my bad luck pulling you down. But stil
Damien caressed Eva's cheek softly. She is looking at him with a shocked expression. He understood that she might not have thought from this angle."I am sure your intention is pure. You wanted to keep me and Matt safe. That's why you are trying to go away from us. You are thinking that your presence is the reason why we are facing problems. You are right to assume that it's because of you. To a certain point, it is correct" Damien stopped. He looked at Eva's face, where he can find hurt and sadness. She is not expecting him to accept that she is the reason for his troubles.Eva is feeling extremely sad. It is different that she kept thinking that she is a bad omen. But she never thought Damien would agree to that point as well. His words stung and she tried hard not to let her sadness roll down her cheeks in the form of tears. She looked away from him. It is difficult to avoid him because she is practically sitting on his lap.Damien turned h
"I found her" Damien's words rang from the other end. Matt couldn't hold the sigh of relief that escaped from his lips as soon as he heard those words. He knows who she is. It's his sister who disappeared a couple of weeks ago. "Where? Can I talk to her?" Matt asked eagerly. "You can come and meet her if you want. You are educated and talented. Nothing is left for you there in that small town. You can stay with us until you could rent a place of your own. I can offer you a job based on your qualification. I am sorry about the fire. She will be upset if she hears about it" Damien said, offering a job for him. Matt looked at their house, which is now burned down to ashes. He is standing in front of his childhood home where he grew up and where he holds so many memories with his parents and sister. He doesn't know who did this, but someone made sure that his childhood home and their flower shop is burned down into ashes a few nights ago
The next morning, Eva saw the new clothes neatly arranged in the closet. She is standing in front of the open closet door with a surprised expression. She stayed with Damien the previous night and they talked about what happened these past six months. She shared about her life in Maple valley and he shared about how much he missed her. Eva felt guilty for being the cause of his suffering. She explained why she stayed away from him and he updated her about how Mia is being cunning and manipulative. He told her about his job offer to his brother and about the fire that burned her father's house and the flower shop she loves the most. Eva is shocked and became sad. He revealed the name of the culprit and Eva fumed with anger.'I will kill her ' she declared with anger.'I know you are not capable of killing anyone. But we can teach a lesson to that nasty woman. She deserves to be behind the bars for the rest of her life. As soon as I gather enough evidence against
Matt is looking at the signboard where the name of his town is written. He is not sure when he would come back here again. He is not sure if he would ever come back or not. There is nothing left for him in this town. "We should go now" Sherrif Marquis reminded him softly. The sheriff volunteered to drop him off at the airport. Matt sold the car which is a reminder of his father's death. He couldn't bear to look at it, as it kept reminding him that his father spent his last few minutes alone in this car. It is making him feel guilty that he couldn't be there for his father when George needed him the most. It is a sore reminder that he failed as a son. 'I am sorry dad. I would have killed Nancy for being a reason for your death, but stopped myself because you once told me that my mother used to love that girl ' he thought with gritted teeth. 'This is for the best. If I stay here any longer, I might end up killing her ' he thought with anger raging insid
