expected the time I spent in George’s place to be brief and quick, but it wasn’t. He had somehow cooked a large dish giving off delicious scents.

“Eat while it’s hot,” he instructed as he headed back to the kitchen to dispose of his apron. Might I add that he looked hot in it and I didn’t want him to take it off.

“I hope this tastes as good as it smells,” I couldn’t help but add as he reached to fill my plate for me.

George smiled wryly, “It does, which is fortunate because it rarely is.”

“Rarely? This tastes heavenly,” I couldn’t help but say after tasting the crab dipped in soy sauce, “this is just so good, I may be stopping by for more than just a cup of coffee next time.”

“Even better, I’ll get to hone my skills to perfection.” George said, his voice tingling with excitement of some sort.

I smiled at him, “I can’t picture you with the guy Ari described you as right now, like the George she described is not in any way close to the George in front of me.”
