Chapter 66: The truth is finally coming out

After a few days in the hospital they finally discharged me, my father was leaving for work as he left me and Jeremy with Steve. I felt a bit nervous, Steve has been really quiet these last few days, he hasn’t been saying much at all. I think he was just nervous about everything.

My father told me to stay at the cabin as long as I wanted. Steve said it would be the perfect place for me to relax and the weather was getting nicer so it would be fun to do some beach days and hikes once I was feeling up to it.

Steve was constantly beside me, he helped me get into the car, he packed my bags, carried Jeremy. He wouldn’t let me do anything,

“Thank you for everything Steve.”

He smiles, “No problem, this isn’t my first time taking care of you and now I need to be more alert since there are two of you now.”
