Chapter 76: Always messing things up

I immediately called Steve, he picked up instantly, I could tell by his voice he was panicking,

“Kay? Where the fuck are you?”

“I’m at the beach what’s going on? Is Jeremy okay? What happened.”

I felt my heart break to pieces as I thought about anything happening to my little boy. I was so lost, it felt like I was on a cloud and everything around my was hazy.

“He chocked on a piece of meat and it blocked his airway, he was down for 2 minutes when your father finally got it out. The ambulance is there now, I just hung up on him to talk to you. I’m going to call him back right now and see what’s going on.”

“No, no, I’m calling him back. I’m at the beach can you come and get me.”

“I’m about 20 minutes from the cottage Kay, I couldn’t find you and I needed to get to Jeremy. I wasn’t going to just wait for nothing. I’m fucking done with this running away from me Kay. Call Bethany to come pick you up, I’m going to be with my son. Figure your own shit out.”

The phone line went dead.
