Following him, she immediately called his attention, “Give me back my amulet. It’s important to me,”
“Fasten your seatbelt.” Michael ignored Kendra’s words and was about to start his car.
“I said give my amulet back,” Kendra repeated impatiently. It’s the only thing that left her from someone, not totally her mother.
