I got off Nicholas’s land and went back to my home. It was nothing more than a shell except for the garage. Everything I owned had been in that house. I had always moved everything with me because I didn’t own much. I had other cars in other areas, and my finances were in banks, so I was still okay financially. It was the emotional things I had lost. I went to where the garage used to be. This was going to be a mess to clean up. My anger took over again, and I went hunting. I was looking over some reports when I suddenly felt something was wrong with Dominique. It felt like fear, but it was gone as suddenly as it came on. I tried to link her to see if everything was alright, but she didn’t answer. It felt like she was asleep. Perhaps she was having a nightmare. There were cells and rooms everywhere. I opened my mind to Dominique. They had her tied up, and she was cut up. Blood covered the ground under her. They hadn’t put her back on the table but chained her to the wall. Her arms and legs were strung taught almost to the point of pulling them out of the socket. We went downstairs and found that Makayla’s mate was talking to Nicholas’s Gamma. What he said pissed Dominique off. I could feel her anger as she told him not to bother coming back. Whatever he had done had Dominique in a mood. She was looking down at Chris, but her head was held high. She had always been shy about being naked around others, but now it didn’t seem to matter. On the other hand, I did not like her being naked in front of everyone. They began talking, and the wolf growled at Dominique. I had him by the throat in an instant and lifted him off the ground. I made sure he looked into my eyes as I squeezed. Dominique moved forward and placed her hand on my arm. I saw the wolf’s eyes dart from me to her and back again.
