I was looking over some reports when I suddenly felt something was wrong with Dominique. It felt like fear, but it was gone as suddenly as it came on. I tried to link her to see if everything was alright, but she didn’t answer. It felt like she was asleep. Perhaps she was having a nightmare. I could still feel her, and she didn’t feel like she was in pain. I went back to my reports.
An hour later, I felt like something was wrong again, but this time I felt a pain that wasn’t mine. I ran out of the house and began running to Dominique’s house when I felt Dominique open herself up to me. It had been at least thirteen years since she had opened herself up to me without dreaming. I staggered and then brought myself to a halt.
“Dominique,
I whispered through Dominique’s mind, 'Dominique, I am at the wreck’s site. I see six dead bodies on the side of the road. Nicholas is here with some of his men, but I do not see Tim or your sons. Nicholas is talking to me. He thinks you’re dead, and that’s why I’m here. Michael can not feel you. He told them you and your daughter were dead. I have corrected them.’ ‘Thank you, Nathaniel. Please ask them where Tim and my sons are.’ ‘Nicholas is going to let me drink from him, Dominique. I am going to push the energy into you. It will heal you faster. I hope it gives you enough strength
There were cells and rooms everywhere. I opened my mind to Dominique. They had her tied up, and she was cut up. Blood covered the ground under her. They hadn’t put her back on the table but chained her to the wall. Her arms and legs were strung taught almost to the point of pulling them out of the socket. Before, she had not been nude when I’d linked her. Now she was. I saw claw marks going down her sides that were coming from the back. I continued to look down at her body and saw blood between her thighs. Those bastards had taken advantage of her. I looked around the room to see if I could figure out which room she was in. That’s when I saw what she was staring at. Her daughter was cut up, and there was a man beside her. His claws were covered in blood, and so was the rest of his body. He&
We went downstairs and found that Makayla’s mate was talking to Nicholas’s Gamma. What he said pissed Dominique off. I could feel her anger as she told him not to bother coming back. Whatever he had done had Dominique in a mood. She was looking down at Chris, but her head was held high. She had always been shy about being naked around others, but now it didn’t seem to matter. On the other hand, I did not like her being naked in front of everyone. They began talking, and the wolf growled at Dominique. I had him by the throat in an instant and lifted him off the ground. I made sure he looked into my eyes as I squeezed. Dominique moved forward and placed her hand on my arm. I saw the wolf’s eyes dart from me to her and back again.
His body went slack from the blow to the head. I looked at Dominique, and she blushed. I’d never seen this side of her. I didn’t know she’d fought the rogues before. She’d blocked me out of her life as much as possible. I didn’t know she had trouble with the pack she was in before now. I checked in on her occasionally, but she was never in trouble or seemed distressed. And she’d never mentioned it. I walked out of the house with Dominique right behind me. I threw the man in the back of the van and then jumped in behind him. Dominique got in the back with me. I tried to hide from her because I could smell the man’s blood, and I wanted to drink him dry, not only because of the bloodlust but because he hurt my love.
I jumped to another tree silently. I got as close as I could and jumped off the tree. I landed behind the man and ran as quickly as I could. The man was turning around and pulling his rifle forward when I grabbed his neck and twisted it. Before I let Dominique out, I searched the grounds for anyone else. When I was satisfied that no one else was there, I returned for her. “The coast is clear, Dominique.” Dominique opened the door and got out. She immediately ran towards the driver. You could tell he was dead, but she checked for a pulse anyway. I could feel her anger. I walked up and wrapped my arms around her, and she leaned into my touch. I felt her begin to calm down until the rogue hollered at her.
I woke up on the floor and looked around. I immediately began to panic as I remembered why I was on the floor. I reached out to Dominique and found her energy. I began to search her mind to make sure she was okay. Finally, I felt that she was awake. I calmed down some. ‘Dominique, I’m thankful to find that you’re alive,” I said, knowing she could feel what I was feeling. ‘I can’t remember what happened after I fell asleep. Everyone seems concerned, even you.’ ‘You kept me out of whatever was happening. I could
“Dominique, why don’t you go back to the house? I need to speak to Tim before I leave.” “I’m going home. I’m not staying here any longer,” Dominique huffed. “Please wait for Tim to take you home. I want to make sure you’re safe.” “I can take care of myself!” Dominique yelled. “I know you can, my love, but please do this for me for my peace of mind. Tonight and last night were very long nights, and I don’t have much time left before the n
I came alive, gasping as I felt a horrible pain in my side. I instantly knew it was Dominique. Nothing else would have caused me such pain as soon as I awoke. I closed my eyes and reached out for her. I found her mind was closed off to the world as she was unconscious and dreaming. I delved into her mind and watched as she dreamed of running free through the woods, but she wasn’t in human form. Instead, a beautiful black and white wolf was running free. The sunlight hit her fur and made a striking contrast. The black fur looked like it had blue streaks running through it, while the white fur glistened like snow in the early morning light. She was light and dark all in one. I was mesmerized by her. Was her wolf taking over her dreams now? She ran so fast, her feet barely touching the ground as she chase
