Chapter 52

His body went slack from the blow to the head. I looked at Dominique, and she blushed. I’d never seen this side of her. I didn’t know she’d fought the rogues before. She’d blocked me out of her life as much as possible. I didn’t know she had trouble with the pack she was in before now. I checked in on her occasionally, but she was never in trouble or seemed distressed. And she’d never mentioned it. I walked out of the house with Dominique right behind me.

I threw the man in the back of the van and then jumped in behind him. Dominique got in the back with me. I tried to hide from her because I could smell the man’s blood, and I wanted to drink him dry, not only because of the bloodlust but because he hurt my love.
