“Isabel, to my office!“ I heard Xin's cold voice call out to me, and I was scared. I had just arrived at the company, and I didn't even have time to breathe.

“Right now?“ I asked. What did he want so early in the morning? He couldn't be so hungry to ask for coffee the first thing when he arrived.

“Yes! Right now!“ He said that and walked away. His footsteps were heavy, and I had a bad premonition about everything.

I looked at Birdie, who was standing at the side. I wished that he could have an idea about what was going on.

But he shrugged. “His mood has been so bad since yesterday. Just be careful,” he warned.

I nodded in understanding. One thing I liked about Birdie was that he was always so considerate of me. I was glad that I wasn't on his bad side, like Skye.
