57: Emergency

Theo looked constipated. He clutched onto Alicia's hand too tight, the first responders had to ask him to loosen his grip. By then, Alicia was groaning painfully, but she still had time to ask them to let Theo be and that he was just worried.

“Do something, she is in pain.” He almost yelled. He kept eyeing her belly as if he expected it to flatten any minute. Only the heavens knew how freaked out he was for his wife and unborn babies. They were just six weeks away.

“Keep calm, sir,” one of the guys tried, but the glare that Theo shot him didn't need any verbal words to enforce its harshness.

“I am not going anywhere, baby girl.” He assured his moaning and thrashing wife. He didn't need to be a medical expert to tell that her pain was increasing rapidly. He glued his eyes on her.
