Chapter 34: Change for the better

Gracelyn's POV

After seeing Shirly bursting out like that I feel like something inside me woke up. Like I have been sleeping for a long time and I have just woken up.

I called out to her and follow her. I couldn't bare to see them cry because of me. They have always been my confidante.

I noticed that Izzy is following me so I just continued walking towards Shirly but something caught my eyes or rather someone.

My dad is on the beach sitting and holding another woman's hand. He should only be holding my mom's hand. How dare him! and how dare that woman !.

I wiped my tears and run away from them. I am afraid that if I stay longer than ine minute. I couldn't stop myself and charge towards them. I don't want to make a scene here.

I want to go miles away from them but this is as far as I can go. I am sitting inside a nipa hut. It is small and deteriorating but it can still give shade against the sun.

I sit and hug my knees.
