Chapter 44: Christmas Eve

Gracelyn's Pov

Greg greeted me a merry Christmas. I greeted back and pocketedy phone.

"Grace and Ange, I need a hand here please." Mom shouted from the kitchen. She is preparing the food. We told her to just order but she wants to make it herself and said that we should be thrifty and not spend too much money this Christmas.

We spend almost three hours in the kitchen preparing. Mom said we will just cook them later.

We are now on the living room. Sitting across each other. Izzy and Shirly went out with their familys but promised to be here before the clocks strikes 12.

I fished out my phone and saw that Greg has a message.

" If I pass the board exam,promise me you'll be my girlfriend again. Deal?".

I've been looking at the screen of my cellphone for a couple of minutes already, reading his message over and over but can't come up with a reply.

I have doubts. What if he'll end up hurting me agin for the nth time? Does he really loves me that's why he wants me back... or he just needs
