Chapter 45: The Worst Christmas Gift

Greg's Pov

I didn't know that waiting for a reply is this hard. I couldn't stay still and is always looking at my phone if Gracelyn has replied but hours has passed and there was still no reply.

I put down my phone and went out to join my family and relatives on the count down. We all shouted from ten to one until the clock strikes twelve. It is officially Christmas eve. We greeted each other a Merry Christmas and had a sumptous meal. Sadly, Kevin, Fin and Roger couldn't come. I understand that we should be with our family first.

I wish grandma was still here. I missed her pancakes and her hugs. Her hugs usually keep me warm.

"I know you miss your grandma". Mom said and hug me tightly. I almost forgot that I now have my parents with me.

I hugged mom back and thank her for not giving up on me on the hard days.

"It is what parents do honey".

"Why don't you go to Gracelyn's?"
