Chapter 40

I awoke with a weary yawn, devoid of any excitement to uncover the day's mysteries. Nonetheless, I reluctantly rose from my slumber and made my way to the bathroom, where I indulged in a refreshing shower. Surprisingly, Cameroon still lay in a deep sleep, an unusual occurrence. However, I paid him no mind as I prepared for the day ahead.

Having divulged my previous day's ordeal to him the night before, I noticed a slight softening in his demeanor. It was evident that guilt had settled upon him.
